Big Day Out put out another press release today, saying that all tickets for the Sydney ballot are now $125+bf. He also mentions that 2,000 sales were rejected or were multiple transaction, so there will now be 12,000 Sydney tickets in the ballot, the first 2,000 going for $115+bf. Tool have finalised their production specs and around 1000 new seats for Sydney will be made available soon. There will be a strict limit of 2 tickets per card/person.

It shouldn’t… They would want to put as many people as is reasonable to every concert to get more money out of it. I can’t see this stopping any more shows. It’s going to be hectic when these tickets go on sale…

I’m going to give you all some advice: If you want to purchase 1 or 2 of these 1000 extra tickets, go and line up early at a ticketmaster outlet or wherever they are sold. When the first lot of tickets went on sale, the approx. 2000 Melbourne Gold tickets sold out straight away, apparently in about 20 or so seconds. The show is kind of catered to people with crappy seats. The projections are projected onto the floor rather than back (except that 5ft. piece.) I heard they were synchronized very well too.
I talked to a few guys who went to the show I did, who we’re in the stands, and most of them happened to be on something. Mostly mushrooms. If you’re into that, I’ve heard it’s specially good from the crappy seats!
If you cant get to a ticketmaster outlet call The Grand Prix Hotline on 131641. You can select to be put through to an operator and then get a ticket. No phone line Jamming a no queue. Thank Fragility666 for that tip. Hopefully scapers to check this site.

Moose, no. They sold gold both GA (standing) and Gold Seat sections… so if you’ve got a seat you’re stuck there. Should be a nice view however…

Thanks for that. Yeah should be a nice, very close view – I scored two Golds up the front of section 16 this morning. Making the trip over from New Zealand so I get to see them up front at Auckland BDO and then sit back and be treated in Sydney! Can’t wait.
