The results from the Best of 10,000 Days poll are in, and it looks as though 10,000 Days is the favorite off the album, narrowly beating my choice Rosetta Stoned.
- 10,000 Days: 25% (125)
- Rosetta Stoned: 23% (117)
- Jambi: 19% (93)
- The Pot: 10% (49)
- Vicarious: 9% (45)
- Right In Two: 9% (44)
- Intension: 3% (13)
- The part where it ends and I never have to listen to it again….: 3% (13)
Feel free to discuss.
Every week I hope to put a new poll up on the site, so if you have any issues that you feel must have a vote on, then feel free to email me any suggestions. They need not be Tool related.
In the meantime check out this weeks on the right…
I voted for Faaip de Oiad simply because I look forward to the eventual release of a Tool live DVD which will probably include their live performance of this song back in Reno, Nevada in November 2002 (penultimate Lateralus tour show) to a relatively empty arena. Apparently there were no more than 50 people still in the building when Tool returned to the stage, half an hour after supposedly finsihing with the song Lateralus, to perform the song, accompanied by disturbing images, in what was later described as a “hidden live track”. I think that would be a great feature… Read more »
Tool Live DVD?
You’re dreaming mate. At least not in this lifetime.
Cog DVD>Tool DVD
Intermission FTW.
^Cog DVD > Tool DVD?
I saw Cog a few weeks back here in Sydney. I have also seen Tool. All I’ll say is that I disagree with your opinion.
Wow, you talk about Tool being boring a repetitive, and then disclosed your love for Cog…..
cog suck pigs ass blood!
is die eier von satan, really a filler, i love so many of those fillers, but that one just seemed the most appropriate. i want a re-vote!
Hellboy you’ve obviously have never seen Cog Live. I’ve seen Tool in 2001 and they don’t even come close to the stage presence, energy and good vibe that Cog have solidified over the years.
replayee you’re attempt to upset me has failed miserably.
Please continue you “tool cocksuckers.”
your*
The new Normal>Lateralus and 10,000 Days combined

I’ve seen KARNIVAL and COG live, and yes your right doors,JT shits on them both.
JT?
Justin Timberlake. We have a comedian. GFC.
COG ARE SO UNBELIEVABLY LAME. i actually went and saw them once, for a friend, and all they did was fucking preach about who the fuck knows what. im thinking they are secretly a christian rock band!!!!!
ya its true. one of those queer bands who play a christian kids centers, brainwashing the minds of the unable to contemplate children.
OMG COG SUCK. im pretty sure it stands for Cock Ogling Gangreen.
Flynn Gower= poor man’s follicly challenged Chris Cornell.
COG + Sylvia Massy Shivy=TOOL try hard
checkmate.
I’m not even going to begin with Tool. The hardest part is where to start. So I’m just going to leave it at that. 😛
Flynn Gower= poor man’s follicly challenged Chris Cornell.
COG + Sylvia Massy Shivy=TOOL try hard
But I will anyway. The last leg of the Tool Tour. Maynard with his washed up rock star look- cowboy hat, sunglases…..Bono from the PopMart Tour ring a bell?………..Agg-Agh-Alrighttt.
maynard is a dirty conforming ass blood licker. please say more bad things about him.
Come on lads, share the love. All’s good in the hood.
Also, (-) Ions rocks in headphones.
futuresex/lovesounds best album of 2006.
I thought Right In Two would have been higher up on the list of favourite tracks. 10,000 Days & Rosetta Stoned are my two favourites.
Oh, and while I love Cog to bits, I was very underwhelmed when I saw them at the Big Day Out this year. They were solid, but not spectacular in anyway.
Mike Patton’s PEEPING TOM possibly here Jan. or Feb
with an eight piece band.Might be a chance for BDO.
Your right again doors, the similarity between Bono and MJK is uncanny. Now pass those magic mushrooms
over here.
Second BDO announcement is this week anyway… so I guess we’ll find out then.
speaking of which… id like to see in a vote who the favoured tool member is…
I like that one that plays drums. He’s pretty cool. Too loud though.
I’ve seen Cog a couple of times know, and while I respect their musicianship, and to a certain degree don’t mind their songs – but they really aren’t *that* good IMO
Hey, and how’s this for bad taste on my part – I love U2 and quite happily admit that Pop is my favorite U2 album….
oh god…
im trying to think here, what openly regarded crappy music do i like?
culture club?
Hellboy, I’m shocked to say the least. I’ve never gotten on the U2 train ride for life. I’ve found them way too mainstream and popular culture. Something that erks me we you here it at pubs, parties and everywhere you go. It’s like the Chilli Peppers. Great musicians but overplayed quite often.
My Big Day out Tip thanks to Martin *You know who you are* is Primus. I’m sure that will arouse people and give me grief but it does make sense or something
Unlike the Chilli Peppers though, U2 are actually responsibly for a few decent songs. Just like the Chilli Peppers though, the last couple of U2 CD’s sucked hard. My favorite 3 U2 albums, Pop, Achtung Baby and Zooropa are probably the least mainstream of all the U2 CD’s, and if you give any of them a chance, then they’re all actually pretty good CD’s. Oh, and the ZooTV tour kicked ass as well, and no, I’m not going to see them on this tour… Primus playing the BDO would be awesome. I had a feeling they might when I heard… Read more »
U2 is full of jackasses which is why I don’t like them. I can make myself like just about anything if I like what they stand for.
Which is way I hate punk music.
I can make myself like just about anything if I like what they stand for.
Which is way I hate punk music.
What’s that supposed to mean? That you’re a conservative bible-basher?
Or that you’re like me and think most politics in music is made up of poorly thought out knee-jerk reactions?
It’s quite a broad statement that Punk music is about politics. Though the 70’s labelled it that way. Punk music rebels against your parents, society, school and many other things like popular culture. It’s quite left brained and yet simple at times.
I like the fact that it’s often simple and you can dance along to when your really pissed. One of my favourite shows was the Dropkick Murphies in Brissie about 3 years ago. That was crazy, most of the audience was on-stage before the night ended. Classic!
The punk movement is so counterproductive.
The punk movement, it’s just stupid. That’s why I hate it, I’m not even going to go into it. There are better philosophies out there, ones that better serve the punk’s endeavor.
And yeah, they sometimes put on good shows, but that’s not what we’re talking about.
U2>Tool
Doors, I don’t get why you come here if you just want to provoke anger from other people here. You don’t like Tool? Fine, your choice.
So much anger! You’re right Kel, COG’s show at Syd BDO this year wasn’t particularly tight. Despite this, having seen them twice previously at Orange and ANU Bar, i can vouch for them putting on a really good live show. As for whether or not they’re a good band, Flynn himself has told me his lyrics don’t really mean anything; he focuses on the rhythm of his syllabuls rather than alluding to any deep and meaningful interpretations. This aside, they’re all great musicians with a unique sound and a solid fan base. Lucius, their drummer, is damn good at what… Read more »
By the way, Doors, COG told me they don’t want you in their fan base. You’re an asshole.
Aww that breaks my heart.
^^^
Breaks my heart. *Wipes tear.*
Karnivool is nu-metal. Two alright songs on Themata, cote and Themata. Not promising at all, the rest is Limp Bizkit on speed.
You know it’s that time when your song is scovered on Australain Idol that it’s time to disband.
Anyway, all of you guys have got it wrong, everyone know the best Australian band is The Mark of Cain!
Hasn’t U2 been covered on idol?
