Big Day Out Timetables & Maps

The Big Day Out timetables and maps are now up on the Big Day Out Website.  From the couple I’ve looked at, Tool start at either 9:00 or 8:30 and have been allocated 90 minutes.  Looks as though You Am I seem to be the band playing at the same time as the headline band this year (excluding NZ), which is a shame, because they’re one of the few bands on the lineup I would have liked to have seen.

Still no word on who might be supporting Tool at their solo shows during the tour.  There’s been plenty of speculation (Isis, Mastodon, Cog, Karnivool) but at this late stage I’d be pretty surprised if there was a support act at all.  Probably only some obscure DJ at best.

Fortunately at The Gold Coast You am I will be playing prior to Tool and The Violent Femmes will be at the same time. No big loss there at all. Especially since they said in Guitar Australia that they WILL be playing Blister.

Man I hate that song, it really erks me. As for a support act for Sydney it will be someone really crappy. I remember APC at brissie was that Giants of Science. I really thought they were lacklustre.
