A couple of things have happened over the last month, and as a result I’ve decided that it might be a good idea to change things for the Fourtheye Meetup in Sydney on the 24th of January:
- Mattw looked over the venue (the Covent Gardens Hotel), and suggested it wasn’t such a great spot after all.
- There is no support act for the show, so Tool may be starting earlier than expected
- There is a Toolarmy meetup at JB’s starting at 4pm
In light of all of that, and considering many Fourtheye readers are TA members, I’m going to suggest that we combine with the Toolarmy Meetup, and head over to JB’s for a couple of beers. If people feel a little crowded, or just don’t like the venue, then we can move on from there.

Anyway, at 4pm I doubt the license restricts under 18s anyway, as long as you’re not drinking….
4pm sounds a good time. Stuck in Sydney from Midday so I’ve got to do something to pass the time until the Tool show.
For us non-Sydney, non-Toolarm folk, where is JB’s?
I actually have no idea other than it’s across the road from the Entertainment Centre (or something).

No, I’m just kidding. I don’t know what NITOOL is talking about. I was talking to a guy on MSN who said he had an all access pass and would be going to the sound check. Was that you NITOOL?

Yeah,doing the BDO, my problem will be peaking to early.
The only reason I’m going is TOOL.
With the BDO there are too many variables, the weather, being outdoors and the usual dickheads that front up.
I’m still pessimistic about TOOL returning anytime soon.
