Yeah I figured that much out, but it’s still funny since I live about two hours from Mexico, which figures quite heavily into our texican culture, and I’d never heard that phrase until this past week. It’s like if you heard us calling it the ‘Indonesian wave’ or something…
I assume it means a wave of people standing/jumping up a la sports? If so, we just call it ‘the wave’.

Pretty much. I think it’s know as the Mexican wave because it was first noticed at the Soccer World Cup in Mexico
