Lose the category icons. They just waste a lot of space, and it’s much more difficult to work out which picture refers to which category. Text on the side was fine.

i like it.. i’m used to the category icons referring to something like “bondage” or “lesbian” or “group” etc…
it always takes getting used to! don’t be frightened.

None of the enhancements are up for discussion at this stage, since I like them all….

you know, hellboy you got users get used to polls so, now when something change they give free opinions and want to vote on things and maybe go back as before .. I think this is a new step for the site design and its time for some evolution also in web design here.
So keep mojo rising !

i actually really like the site design, and the category pics are nice. On topic tho the bonnaroo pics are great, the one with lasers a few posts down was amazing

that guy is an amazing fotographer .. great pics , nice tails and images . and no editing there it seems .

There definitely is a web design change on the horizon, which will integrate some of the recent changes I’ve made a little better. No ETA though, it all depends on my workload and motivation, but one thing is for sure, the current design needs a facelift!

I think using the same cromatic color can be stressfull.
I really enjoy this background layout . The only thing that comes to mind right now is a kind of dark color , grey/blue/red/green with some light on it .
Like a neon sign but in a dark scale .
There will definitely be more colour in the next design, since I’m a bit sick of the gray and white of the current site. Though the current black text on light background will remain, they layout of the posts and comments will change to better incorporate the icons, as well as the geometric “avatars”.
Having said all that, I do consider myself to be “colour-scheme challeneged”, so anyone who has a suggestion for colour schemes, or even wants to submit some kind of background or design, can feel free!

Hey I’m cool with all these changes. Change can be good, right? And the color black has become quite cliche when it comes to rock bands and Tool.
Anyone who wants to preview the new theme can now do so by selecting the Fourtheye 2007 theme in the theme switcher. Feedback welcome…. Edit: There’s still a few things to do, such as format links correctly, but if you see anything you think I may have forgotten then let me know.
