MetalKult.com have a great video interview with King Buzzo from The Melvins. He talks about a range of topics including the importance of drugs, song dynamics, and how the addition of the Big Business rhythm section affects the Melvins’ sound. Well worth checking out if you like the Melvins, and/or have an interest in guitar playing a guitar rig setups
Buzz has a great attitude towards music and music writing, and I think aspiring musicians would do well to take some notes from what he says. He also has an evil laugh. Please come back to Australia soon Buzz, with Big Business if you don’t mind.
What Buzz says about sporting venues – he must be talking about (at least) Tool. This is my single complaint about Tool, and it is a huge one. I fucking hate the horrible sound of the horrible venues they play around here and I imagine its similar elsewhere (save festivals). Seeing them outside once put all their other shows to shame.
Maynard has an artist on artist interview on myspace with comedian Patton Osweld, a comedian who i have never heard of.
Trans Am will be the opening act for Houston’s Tool show on Nov. 16. Has this been confirmed elsewhere?
