so weird to think that was a year ago. shit.
the ent cent show was by far the best on that entire tour, for many, many varying reasons.
the sydney bdo show was the best bdo one too. melbourne was a bit rough
I thought we got a good deal with the Sydney Shows. Both setlists were quite different and each show worthwhile. The Ent. Centre show was definitely the highlight though.

the entertainment centre show still has been the single best night of my life. well worth the 16 hour turnaround return trip from auckland just for that one and a half hours! what a show.

The Syd Ent Centre show last year was the best of the 4 times I saw Tool perform last summer. I look forward to seeing them play there again sometime in the future…
The RATM show on Tuesday night at the same venue was fantastic! The most energetic/enthusiastic crowd I have ever seen. The gig only went for 1hr 20mins but it was intense. I’ve been fairly lucky given the last 2 summers.

I only saw the Adelaide BDO, and though it was great to see Tool for the first time, in retrospect, the show could have been better.

Still haven’t seen Tool live – almost wanted to go for the 10,000 Days tour but I’d never been to a concert before and was kind of nervous. Besides, it was selling out so fast anyway. I just had to act quick, but I decided to do nothing. Now Tool perhaps won’t tour for a really long time. I guess it doesn’t really matter, how much worse can Maynard’s voice get in a couple of years, it was already so bad that there’s no possible way it can get worse. By the time they release their next album Maynard will… Read more »

Maynard is going on 43 now. I’d like to think he’s a perpetually young artist, but the fact is that he’s getting older, and his style of singing live, as well as the ways in which he’s recorded his past work really aren’t physically sustainable — the other guys in the band are getting older too, of course, but not to the extent that age presents an adverse challenge specifically for vocalists. I’ve read interviews where he discusses the emotional reasons behind not wanting to revisit songs like Hooker With a Penis and Ticks and Leeches live, but its obvious… Read more »

Maynard the whisperer!!! It’s so true. Puscifer is the proof that MJK is all puffed out. TOOL IS DEAD EVERYBODY! I know, I know, I’m sad too.
Instrumental Tool would be cool with me though.
