I don’t remember this being posted on the news page, but it appears that there is an April newsletter Toolband. It’s full of you usual writings you can expect from Blair, but it also briefly talks about a important meeting between the bands management and attourneys, and hints at some kind of unusual decision being mande. What this decision is, well your guess is a good as mine….
Thanks to Influenced on Toolarmy for the tip.
Probably a break up.
Here’s my theory: Nothing will happen.
You never know

I agree.
I guess Tool finally decided to be on an episode of MTV Cribs…
Blair mentions that whatever is happening is news to him, and might be considered odd by even casual observers of Tool… This doesn’t suggest a breakup…
Rather, it suggests something uncharacteristic of Tool, likely something ultra-commercial is in the works… Like A Tool movie, or some other form of new media…
They’re finally going to release ‘Teleincision’!
Let’s just hope they pull a NIN on us and release an album out of nowhere. Or, even more like NIN, release TWO albums out of nowhere. (I assume you guys heard about “Ghosts I-IV”, and now “The Slip”) Or they could be original and just release 3 CDs, the live DVD, and Tool – The Movie.
Break-up or DVD. Or nothing.
Live 2007 tour DVD please.
Online Sales?
Probably something boring like their music becoming available on iTunes or the equivalent. That would both warrant management and lawyers.
If it were something like an addition to iTunes, I’d be willing to bet they’d offer up some extras to sweeten the deal.
they are transcending their musical abilities to galaxies elsewhere
Personally I expect that it’s record company related, and possibly something to do with an album to be recorded and released without a 5 year wait.
I don’t think we’ll see Tool in iTunes anytime soon. Not that I have any objection to them using that medium.
I expect it’s a very good April Fools Joke that’s gone on a lot longer than expected, still fooling people at May 7.
It says April 1 clearly at the top.
I thought that was obvious…
I’m thinking it was probably the decision to do the Tool Edition of Revolver Magazine…
