inVINCEcible2k3 pointed me to a recent Twit from Tim Alexander, which says:
Hey all. If you’d like to check out my band INTO THE PRESENCE, opening for Puscifer April 4th, go to myspace.com/intothepresence
My bet would be one some dates in LA, or possible something on the US East Coast.

Wow, this is so awesome. Who needs good music from bands like Tool and Apc when you can have this bowl of shit!
Don’t get me wrong three nights were great. But that was more than enough.
Another delay of the Tool process 🙁
I don’t see how Maynard regards Puscifer as a ‘creative output’. I mean, it’s alright, but tbh if Maynard wasn’t in it….. I don’t think the shows would have sold out quite as fast as they did.Â
Anyway, here’s to hoping that this doesnt turn into a world tour!
Club Nokia is in Los Angeles. Just to let ya know….
Another delay of the Tool process 🙁
I don’t think this will have any effect on the Tool timeline. April 4 is just a bit over a month away, and as far as I know the band aren’t even practising together yet. Provided this doesn’t turn into an extended tour, we won’t see any further delay to a Tool album in my opinion. Wow, you certainly are an idiot. If the fact that he makes much more money on Tool is so obvious, why wouldnt Maynard clue in already? Oh yeaaaaah because regardless of Puscifer, the Tool writing process remains the same. Even if Puscifer goes on a world tour Adam Justin and Danny will spend a good 3 months at least jamming shit out WITHOUT Maynard. If its up to me he can do whatever the fuck pleases him during that time. If I like it I will buy it if I dont I wont. Simple as that. Holy shit guys, do… Read more »
I say boycot the shows. Yes plural, there will be more of this shit. Doesnt he understand he can make alot more money from a tool record/tour.
Meh, I don’t see the point in this. I doubt Maynard’s in it for the money that much these days.
And besides, are there really many Tool fans buys Puscifer stuff just cause Maynard is in it?  I doubt it. I imagine most people at the Puscifer gigs have at least some interest in the music.
And besides, we’re talking about one fucking show…
Ive never bought a single thing from puscifer and don’t plan to. I am being cynical because first it was just two shows then a third night was added. Now anither show is being confirmed. I bet they do a u.s. tour. It just seems like a waste of time for someone so talented.

I might go to a show if they came around.. maybe I’ll be converted, who knows. I’m not that into Puscifer either. It just sounds like a project with no clear direction or purpose, like something that’s fueled largely by ideas that weren’t good enough to make it in his other bands. Maynard would probably tell you that’s the genius of it, but I just don’t find most of it that interesting to listen to. He’s done *three* songs that I really like though, and two of them for some reason were turned into less-than-stellar remixes on the debut album —… Read more »
Anyway, with Puscifer he’s being a bit of a hypocrite because he’s always insulted music that you ‘just tap your foot to’ and where the fans ‘turn up to shows like cattle coz there is a free happy meal’, because thats pretty much what Puscifer is.
Yeah, I agree with you there. The thing that I really dislike is how shamelessly capitalistic he seems intent on making this project. I mean you go to the website and its just a big store with a bunch of stupid crap for sale. I’m talking stuff that nobody but the most brand-vulnerable, exploitable… Read more »

I think most of my thoughts were accurately summarized by hellboy, but to summarize to danielkwhatever: talent doesnt lose its value depending on whether you like the genre or music  it is found in. to Bellwhatever: at this point Tool has become much more formulaic in its music than Puscifer, so one can easily argue that the diversity and ever-changing parameters of Puscifer lend themselves do being MUCH more creative than Tool to ibex: I find the honesty and respect in your posts about your opinions on puscifer incredibly refreshing, especially on this website. You dont like the music all… Read more »
In response to Hellboy, yeah you are right; when it comes down to it, no one is in a position to actually judge the music produced by Puscifer. And yes, Maynard does seem to get enjoyment out of it. But having said that, you need to keep in mind that regardless of the ‘quality’ of the music or how much Maynard enjoys it, Puscifer is still just a side project that is totally dependant on the loyalty of Tool/APC fans. There is a point when you can take something too far… it’s like when someone gets really famous or w/e… Read more »
Maynard appears to me to be focused and passionate about whichever creative outlet he is involved with at the time, whether it be acting, APC, Puscifer, TOOL, wine making or wwwhatever. I don’t think supressing any of these creative outlets will necessarily have benefit to the others, in fact their seperate experiences may even help them all progress. I don’t like wine but I don’t want him to stop making it!
Back when Maynard was starting out with APC, a lot of people thought that Tool was done with.  APC was Maynard’s way of exploring a new side of music that didn’t fit Tool. This was good for the rest of Tool, as they looked at all possible avenues for writing Lateralus. Look at this time with Puscifer as a way for the the other three members of Tool to push the music as far as possible. It would have to be really hard to write lyrics to a song, only to have to back track, because a new direction for the music… Read more »
