Pee from Toolarmy did a search for Tool on the Coast To Coast ticketing site, and it found an entry for the Bonnaroo Festival for the 11th of June. The Bonnaroo site has a few bands that are playing, but none of them look big enough to be headline acts yet, so Tool could easily fit into the bill. Given that Tool seem to be joining the festival set this summer, and they’ve played this event in the past, I’d say this is a pretty likely thing.
Would seem to me as though Tool are very much interested in playing festivals at the moment. If there’s a festival in your part of the US, it’s probably be worth looking into it, and seeing if Tool are a possibility. Personally, I think the “tour” may just be a collection of festival dates, with maybe a few warm-up shows in LA or something.

i AM looking forward to the pot, but if this boonnaroo news is for real, that would be the fucking bomb.
i went a couple of years back when they were there. it was spectacular. i guess like all tool shows, though…
i just don’t see why tool would show up on that ticket site along side another CONFIRMED performance.
Just some info.: Maynard and Eric are promoting their wine on June 10th in Boca Raton, Fl. and on June 12th in Orlando, Fl. so I’m not sure if he would fly to the festival for one day then have to fly back for wine signings the next day….You can check out the wine signings schedule on arizonastrongholdvineyards.com

you all are right, of course. there do seem to be some headliners…
but when tool did bonnaroo before, they got added way after the police were on the roster.
