is confirmed. Tickets will be on-sale this… Friday. One of the best Tool shows ever will be on JULY 25… at the NOKIA THEATER at GRAND PRAIRIE. And being that it’s such a big state… who knows… maybe more.
Blair has posted the following, which lead me to believe that there will be no Dallas pre-sales: there is nothing easier for me to do than post tour dates ONCE they are CONFIRMED and I am given the GO-AHEAD by the band’s MGMT. It takes very little effort compared to other things. Hopefully I will get the green light for this and the others soon, but that’s all I can tell you (other than a few indications scattered about the message boards). BTW, SLC was posted prior to the tickets going on sale on Saturday. As for pre-sales for the… Read more »

Very informative (hopefully). I don’t want to drop 40 extra bucks unless it’ll get me better tickets and less stress Friday morning. But I sure would hate to be left out (and crowded out) if they do spring one on TA.

The “on this…Friday” is very suspicious to me…
I have never known ticketmaster to release tickets on a Friday.
They typically only use Saturday’s for general public sales and Friday for pre-sales…
So perhaps The Collective Unconsious will be getting our wish!

Sounds interesting indeed! For the record though, Toolarmy Pre-Sales at this point have been nothing more than a lottery of the remaining bands tickets not given out to family members, friends, etc. rather than the usual Ticketmaster style pre-sale.

This is true…more recently. But back during the Lateralus days…they’d do the Ticketmaster style. Now, the reason that they changed the format was because of scalping and selling the “leftovers” on TA was a great way to keep scalpers at shore, so to speak. However, The 7 advance is a little spur of the moment to announce a show…even for TOOL. This was also to shy away the scalpers. Essentially they’re not prepared…they hope…and they might be able to pull off a password style pre-sale for us at TA seeing as how easy it is to do it that way… Read more »

No worries, friday Ticketmaster sales aren’t that rare. Happens all the time. And the place holds 6,000, so getting a seat shouldn’t be a problem.

So if ticket-bastard, as tooldude calls them, is going to be the ticket vendor, and these said tickets go onsale in three days… why does the ticketbastard site have no mention of a dallas date for sale? Only SLC is listed on the site as of noon today…. hmmm Also i was thinking, what was the genesis of the band coming together and touring so soon after their last outing? Me thinks that the econominc distress in America affected everyone, and this band, which is known for not being 100% wise with their money has somehow justified touring with keeping… Read more »

So Dallas/Nokia Theater will have a General Admission standing pit according to Ticketmaster. Does anyone know if that usually takes up all of 102, 103, 104 or just a front and/or middle portion? Oh, and the high tickets are 80 bucks.

It kinda looks in the photo like they’ve got a few rows at the back of the 100’s that are distinct (no split in the middle) from the front 2/3rd or so. Were there any seats left at the back of 102-4 when they cleared the pit?

Not from what I remember. I believe that’s the space where the seats in those sections retract.

Actually, all the front sections will have seats behind the pit. The pit is a small section that is pulled back. (about the first 15 or so rows.) If you can get a seat in one of the front sections, you will have prime seats.

Each section in the front that will be pulled back for the pit will still have seats located behind them. The pit takes up about 2/3 of the front sections, so there are seats still in the middle of the venue in the front section.
Here is a thought! Pucsifer opening up for TOOL! I dont remember tickets being this high before. They have not announced any opening act, small venue, – perfect time to try it out!! (what, I can dream can’t I?)
Got my tickets already to this show!! Won them off the radio!! See yall there.

How the hell did two regulars here win tickets off the Eagle?! I couldn’t even get through all day long.
So, I assume due to pulling 3 tickets and not having fiber optic internet I got shoved into 402 row B, does anyone who’s good at judging distance know how far that is from the stage? I’ve never been to Nokia.

i know that ticketmaster did fudge on how you could purchase a ticket. They listed the pit as 80.00 and all others at 55.00.
In actuality, the front section SEATS and PIT were 80.00 and all other seats were 55.00.
So, if you searched for the 55.00 tickets, you got the back sections. If you searched for 80.00, it would give you the best at the time in the front sections, which went really fast.
