Tweakbird to support Tool

According to the Tool Hotline, two-piece rock band Tweak Bird will be supporting Tool on all the non-festival dates:

The Bird Brothers are extremely excited to announce this Independence Day that we will be touring the U.S. and parts of Canada supporting TOOL! We will be playing 13 shows over three weeks so check the tour page for all the show dates. We are sure this will be a most rad time, and when it’s all over we will pour all that professional experience into recording our first full length record. Happy Birthday America…start the van.

These guys are pretty fucking kick ass. Give them a listen. Though they do sound alot tighter live since the cd’s were released.

I definitely recommend catching them so get there early (puff puff), grab a beer, take a seat & enjoy the night.

Wow, what a shit band. Thanks for putting up the myspace link so that I could go check out this shit band before hand. and not waste my time with getting to the show early. Only two musicians….. wtf? There awesome collection of 4 songs on their myspace page, somehow to me, all sounded exactly the same. Like shit. U can only make so many different sounds with two band members. Especially a drummer with only a 4 piece set and two cymbals. What a bunch of douchers…. 🙁 A side note to hellboy: maybe you should have a poll/discussion… Read more »

A side note to hellboy: maybe you should have a poll/discussion about what the best opening act for Tool has ever been? In our/your opinions.. just a thought
How about Dream Theater opening for them?? Like 1 1/2hr set list for DT and Tool’s is 3 or 4 hrs (a intermission in the middle of Tool’s set list)

Yeah i agree with the dont judge prematurely bit, but IMO the songs on their myspace SHOULD be atleast a semi-complete reflection of the band themselves. However, IMO all the songs sounded the same. Singer who is whiny and mostly verbally inaudible. Very basic rhythm guitar, yawn. And goddamn drums are so plain 4/4 with an occasional decently composed fill or two. And whats with all their songs being less than 3 mins long? I guess its hard to make something longer when you have no creative power behind you. As you can probably tell i have an agenda against… Read more »
Sure we have people like that down under, but who cares? How is this any different than making an assumption that all Tool fans a pretentious pricks? Live and let live is more my motto…
Oh Tool fans can be pretty bad too – I think your missing my point. There sure are a lot of “TOOLBAGS” at the “TOOL” concert, and thats a fact. You cant deny it. Here is a 3rd party opinion on tool fans now that you’ve brought it up…it’s pretty funny actually…the guy who wrote it is an asshole…I’m pretty sure he claims that… Read more »
