Blood Into Wine DVD Postponed

The producers of Blood Into Wine have announced that due to overwhelming demand for Blood Into Wine screenings the release of the DVD will be delayed until September:

The demand for theatrical screenings has far surpassed what was initially anticipated and in order to bring the film to more people and in order to include all the great DVD extra features, the DVD release date has been pushed back. The Blood Into Wine DVD and Blu-ray will now be released September 7, 2010.

Hopefully by bringing the film to more people they mean some kind of overseas release.  Australia would be nice!

I saw this screened in Chicago the day before the Puscifer show a couple weeks ago.  Maynard and Eric held a Q and A afterwards to a crowd of less than 100.  I didn’t know what to ask…

Shelbyville, eh?

That lemon tree’s a part of our town, and as kids, the backbone of our economy. We’ll get it back, or choke their rivers with our dead!

Junior, next time your back home in LA and at a Volto! (or whatever else) type of show let me know and I’ll head over just to buy you a beer or some shots. I remember seeing you at the Volto! show back in October in all your Dodgers gear (screw the Dodgers). But next time you’re in the area make sure to try to let me know and I’ll try to buy you a drink or 2 just to say thanks, from the whole Tool-family as a whole, for the awesome work you do with various Tool and Tool-related… Read more »

I think he should buy you a whole slew of beers for the heresy he committed against your beloved Dodgers!

And we give you authorization to poke him in his stitch-face for his transgressions… (even if the Dodgers do suck donkey-dick… 8`)
PS – Hellboy, isn’t it about time to give Junior his own personalized rank?

Oh goodie!  I think the only Canadian screening has been in BC so far. I’m really hoping they bring this to Toronto.  I doubt we’ll ever get a Q&A.

Maybe I overlooked this before, but from the Blood Into Wine website…
“This DVD and Blu-ray also contain extended interviews, alternate scenes, deleted scenes and never before seen concert footage.”

Concert footage? I can only assume that’s just Puscifer stuff since Puscifer seems to be somewhat entwined with the wine making.

Yeppers!! The bonus features includes a live Puscifer montage.

According to this source anyway; http://www.pluginmusic.com/news/article/blood-into-wine-docu-dvd-release-bumped-to-september

Even if it’s not Tool footage, I ain’t complaining. IMO, any live performance from Maynard is something to hold dear.

from puscifer.com:

“Just finished mastering the Puscifer songs featured in the documentary “Blood Into Wine.” We’ll be releasing it digitally as well as physically. Only a handful of cd’s though. Also releasing the “C is For…” E.P. on vinyl and cd. Once again. Limited quantitiy. Details to soon follow. Sept 7th release. Most likely be taking pre-orders around the first week of August.”
