Safe to say that based on these dates The Melvins won’t be supporting Tool this time around. Well at least not for all of the gigs anyway.
I predict at least Buzz shows up at Red Rocks on June 28th. Timing is perfect.

melvins also in Eugene, OR. on july 7th, or so i’ve heard… and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the King of Buzz to join ’em onstage in SanFran on july 12th!
Does anyone know of some good Melvins songs to get into them? I love dark music but I hate death metal if that gives you an idea of a song i might like from them.
June 1st and July 9th
Here’s hoping that he does pop up in frisco.

Hmmm….me thinks you should try the Houdini ALBUM. I used to ask for specific songs from people to get into music too, but later found that I’d have to listen to an album in it’s entirety….and most times I liked all the tracks that WEREN’T recommended! Good luck!
the most accessible melvins is the video of the whole concert they did with the guys from big business on thier myspace page. i love this video, though i dont have any of thier other music

Melvins arent death metal. Houdini is the altmetal record that got all the trendy folks into Buzz and Co.
I suggest (A) senile animal, which is probably their most accessible work, and or Pigs of the Roman Empire which is pretty atmospheric and heavy.
If you like classic rock then NUDE WITH BOOTS is the ultimate Melvins albums. It was my access point to their music, like Leppelin had an orgy with Sabbath, Motorhead, and…well, the Melvins.
Auuuggh I hope it’s all ages. I’m not 18. >.< DAMN.
