Looks like the Tool show in Seattle has been confirmed by several sites (not on Toolband though) as being on the 10th of July at Key Arena. Looks like Gorge fans will have to wait for next tour. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am, presumably at everyone’s favourite ticketing vendor.
I get plenty of questions from readers regarding other shows on the tour (are Tool gonna play town xyz?) and generally I don’t have any further information that what I’ve posted on the site. It’s very rare that I receive info that I’m asked to sit on, so while I’m happy to answer any questions or emails I get, be aware that it’s likely that 99% of the time the answer will be “I don’t knowâ€.
As far as this tour goes, given that leaks are slowing down, I kinda suspect we may be getting to the end of date announcements. My gut feeling at this stage is that we’ll see the show on the 20th of July in LA confirmed, and that will probably be it. Bad luck for those that missed out, but be happy that Tool will be hitting the studio shortly afterwards, and that we should see a fuller tour hopefully next year. For all of the non-North American readers, I’m sure that means we’ll see them abroad with shows in Europe, Asia and Australasia. I sure am keen to see them again…
Dont feel bad my friend from down under I live in the states and cant see them. I did get to see them last year at APW fest. which by the way was a muddy mess. I just want the album already. Im still having trouble wrapping my brain around this 2mth tour thing their doing. Prediction: new drop 2011. Have fun and be safe at the tool shows.

“US $360.50 – US $390.50”
Woah! Obviously a typo on their end, but still funny.

If this is true, we(L.A.) may be in for a treat…more than a week off, then one more show before they hit the studio…might we hear some new shit?…

Just a gut feeling that they wouldn’t play anything new until the album is released. Granted we got part of Wings in ’01 and ’02. If anything maybe they’ll play “On the run” again like last summer. <That was a… Read more »

They’ll be back, I have no doubt. Per capita Australia has one of the largest fan bases for Tool, so if they’re going to tour the world again, I’d be extremely surprised if they skip Oz.
Just a matter of being patient…
7/20 in LA?!?!
If that is the case, then I hope for a few shows in Las Vegas on the 16th and 17th!
Funny, tickets go on sale tomorrow morning and still NOTHING over at the official site. FYI for those who don’t know, Sacramento tickets go on sale saturday at 10 AM through ticketmaster.

FYI for those who don’t know, Sacramento tickets go on sale saturday at 10 AM through ticketmaster. Funny? Or pathetic? I usually give BMB the benefit of the doubt, and I’m sure he is on a tight leash… but how can you still not have basic, clearly official details like these (Sac onsale date, or even a mention about Seattle) posted on the bands site(s)? I think that’s just dropping the ball. You wouldn’t find Hellboy with his pants… Read more »
