Just got an email today from a reader who heard that Tool have booked to play two shows at the Red Rocks in Colorado on the 27th & 28th of July. Not sure about this source though, so definitely in the rumour category for now…

God I hope this isn’t just some kid pulling it out of his/her A$$. I’ll see you all at both if it happens, I’ve seen Tool thrice since moving to CO in 2007 and they still haven’t played Red Rocks.
Big question marks over this rumour, so don’t go booking plane tickets yet…
Please tell me this is true. Don’t toy with me. I was about to drive out to Kansas City for the show there.

IDK man, that doesn’t make much sense. They played CO last year, and this tour apparently is playing areas they missed out on on that tour. Although i’ve heard Red Rocks is a great venue for a live show and its comparable to the Gorge.
I don’t remember Tool saying they were specifically not playing places they played last year…
Thats very true they never said that, and they are playing LA again like last year. That would be awesome if they end up playing more dates.

The only issue with this link is that there is some ABBA show booked at RR on the 29th. The 27th and 28th makes more sense.

The venue looks amazing. I’m going to have to figure something out to try and make these shows.
Man, I can only imagine how amazingly awsome a TOOL BluRay would look. The best (picture quality) concert BluRay I’ve seen to-date is the Kings of Leon (Live at O2) show. I bought for my gf and the quality of the video seriously makes me feel like I’m there. I’m sure my 55″ 120hz tv helps quite a bit, but seriously, the picture quality is outstanding.

Yup! All i asked was for pushit to be played the second night since we got flood the first. I don’t think they heard me. This time i’ll bring a blow horn. Great shows in any case the sound is just awesome at the Pearl.
