As has been promised since 2008, Maynard and Steve Drozd from The Flaming Lips have finally released their version of Elton John’s Rocket Man. The track, which is technically Puscifer + Steve Drozd, can now be streamed on Puscifer’s website. I think it actually sounds pretty good.
Thanks to ToolDude for spotting this.

I really love the stuff he as done as Puscifer. It was really great live too.
That is nice. Hope it is included on the Blood Into Wine soundtrack or released as a single.
Yea, Im looking forward to picking up that Blood Into Wine soundtrack! Some good shiiit!
I sent an email to the Puscifer website folks, asking if they would be putting this (and Spaghetti Trekka) up in MP3 format for sale anytime soon.
I got a response that said the Rocket Man cover was on the Heart is a Drum Machine soundtrack. Great, I thought. However, I can’t find anywhere to purchase that soundtrack.
Anyone know where I can buy that sound track? If this ends up being on the BIW soundtrack…then I’ll just wait for that.
On sort of a different note. I just purchased the C Is For EP from puscifer.com and it seems that the audio file is password protected. Does anyone know where I find a password to complete the download process?
Thanks,
Tom
