Just as I’d gone to bed an email slips into my inbox with details on the upcoming A Perfect Circle tour:
A Perfect Circle will play Phoenix (Marquee Theatre), Los Angeles (Avalon), Seattle (Showbox at The Market), San Francisco (The Fillmore) and Las Vegas (The Pearl) this fall. Each of the three-night stops will feature one of A Perfect Circle’s albums in its entirety (Mer de Noms, Thirteenth Step and eMOTIVe). Las Vegas (The Pearl) will be a two-night outing (Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step).
Dates and ticket on-sale information to you shortly.
A Perfect Circle performs on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Oct. 27.
I guess we’ll have more details soon. My guess is the dates will follow the appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. I wonder how many people will go to the eMOTIVe shows?
Now to go back to sleep and dream of Tool gigs in Australia…
boooooooooooooo
Its all over facebook and twitter now..

lmao @ emotive
u gotta be kidding me about emotive? LOL
sounds awesome though for other 2 nights
Wow. SF @ The Fillmore? That will sell out in microseconds. If it’s Emotive, I would have to consider passing, as that album just bites. Although it might be interesting to see what they would do with that material live and after all these years. That is assuming that I could get a ticket in the first place. Anyway, nice to see that SOMETHING has been announced finally. Really looking forward to the TººL news… Ah…. just read it more carefully…. EACH city gets all three nights except Vegas. Much more interesting now. I will try for tickets at least… Read more »
Damn, if I can actually get tickets to any of the shows when they go on sale I’ll be there from TX! I hope this sparks up a full on tour. . . eventually. If I make the trip though, and thy play emotive all the way through, I’m gonna be pissed! There are some good ones I wouldn’t mind hearing, but not all of them.
this is great news. only wish life was perfect so i could go see these shows.
does anyone else think Maynard has gone crazy?
Puscifer songs here and there, writing and recording songs for TOOL, relearning basically every song APC has ever done, harvesting grapes, raising a son, retail shops, etc.
there is many things that Maynard has done where i have had to admit he better than me : ) but now it’s just insulting. i am officially a waste of space.
theyll probably do like puscifer did and you wont know what theyre gonna play til youre there. thats pretty shitty though.. who wants to hear a whole concert of covers..
How the fuck could you bitch about them doing Emotive? That is hilarious!
If Emotive is so shitty then you fucking create something better lol.
On a side note I have the hook on Seattle tickets…
I thought you were going back to bed and your TooL dreams!
Good point, and it’s well taken
That being said… have you actually listened to Emotive lately? Seriously… especially compared to the other albums… it’s horrible.
(By the way, I have created music, and I while I can’t objectively say it’s better, I’d certainly rather listen to that than Emotive).

I’m pretty confident I’m older than you. 8`p
Just to be fair, I’m listening to the whole damn disc again, and I’ll try to be objective. True regarding the political situation at the time, by the way.
kittaan – 1 minute ago » BurlyIves – 2 minutes ago To each their own I suppose. APC has never played Emotive material live, and I’m stoked to see it. Obviously the other 2 albums were better, but Emotive is nothing to sneeze at in my opinion. The time period in which it was released was very fitting. Also those are some great covers. Maybe I’m just old lol Right on bro, I will throw that disk in and give it a listen today as well. I’m pretty confident I’m older than you. 8`p Just to be fair, I’m listening… Read more »

This blows. No TX date. I must go to these!
MJK, Billy, Josh Freese, James Iha, Matt McJunkins (Ashes Divide, Puscifer).
Tweeted by aperfectcircle, looks to be the band line up. it was followed by this…
Jeordie, Paz, and Troy all have awesome stuff going on that they couldn’t step away from. But all is well with them.
WOW! this is great news! nice way to finish my shitty day in the office! Love this website : ) Maynard was always crazy, now he has just gone totally insane.
Dammit. I just realized I’m out of vacation time! And that these will be very short shows. Roughly hour long shows. Unless tix are next to free this will be a rip. Maybe not free but very low dollar at least.
Just thought I’d mention…. TA once again is on the cutting edge on breaking TººL-related news: 11 September, 2010 (12:09pm) A MESSAGE FROM A CERTAIN BASS GUITARIST “We are proud and excited to announce the imminent release of “Nothing’s Matter”, the complete and concise work of “M.T.Void” – an experimental collaboration, of the sonic kind, between Justin Chancellor and Peter Mohamed. The logistics of making this available to you all have so far proved to be an obstacle. We are currently in the process of procuring a remedy… Our only business is making music, and businessmen are bad company for… Read more »
Passive is an awesome song! Just to say something positive about Emotive.
Also, i wonder if Maynard will wear wigs again!

Maybe not free but very low dollar at least. What makes you think they will only be an hour long? I’d say an hour and a half at least. I’m hoping tickets are reasonable too, cause I’m planning on driving from Dallas. Maybe to Phoenix? I’ve got a friend who lives there and I work at a hotel so I get cheap… Read more »

Maybe not free but very low dollar at least. Just like me, you need to read the announcement more carefully… they said “three-night stops with each night featuring one of A Perfect Circle’s three albums in its entirety” That doesn’t mean ONLY running the whole album. Most bands running a whole album (and there have been surprisingly many recently) include a healthy… Read more »

And to think I just moved to Phoenix a month ago…
Experiencing both “Mer de Noms” and “The Thirteenth Step” performed live would be great, but only half the songs on eMotive really resonate with me: “Annihilation,” “Imagine,” “Peace, Love and Understanding,” “What’s Going On,” “Passive,” “Fiddle and the Drum.”
It’s funny b/c other than Passive, I really like the “Counting Bodies Like Sheep…” on Emotive, and that’s kinda a cover of an APC song. Other than that the album is very “meh” to me.
And no, I don’t feel like trying to create something better than an album of cover-songs.
I like “Counting Bodies Like Sheep…” too, but left it off the list because it really is a remix.

Bet all you Dallas people are crying in your coffee this morning after the Cowgirls choke-job last night.
Man, I don’t even wanna talk about it. That was just horrible! Everyone is blaming #71 (including me), but really it’s the entire o-line. This is one time I will not stand up for my team. I’m going to the game this Sunday (first home game) against the Bears and have a pretty interesting bet with the friend I’m going with (who’s from Chicago). All he’s been doing is talking shit. But I keep reminding him that Detroit should have won that game yesterday and they will get killed by the Cowboys! This I am confidant in! So, excluding last… Read more »

Here’s an article straight from Rolling Stone’s website today. A Perfect Circle to Play First Concerts Since 2004 By Patrick Doyle Sep 13, 2010 2:17 PM EDT After a six-year hiatus, A Perfect Circle will reconvene in November for a West Coast theater tour. The long-awaited shows feature a surprise for hardcore fans: the band will play all three of their albums in their entirety in each city. “We’re going to do three nights in each city,” frontman Maynard James Keenan tells Rolling Stone. “We’re going to do Mer de Noms the first night, Thirteenth Step the second, and… Read more »
“Tool fans: don’t expect a follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days any time soon. Keenan says he’s been too busy at his Arizona winery to give his other band much thought. “It’s kind of hard to consider any of that stuff when you’re combating the weather, pests, roadies and hippies,” he says.”
What was that quote actually in response to? What “kind of stuff” was he referring to?
I hope Patrick Doyle has his head up his ass on his interpretation of what MJK said.
annoying…

$47.20 for tickets to each of the Los Angeles shows…and…there’s a listing for a 3-Day pass, although no pricing for it yet.
Why does everyone shit on Emotive so much? It wasn’t ever geared as a collection of original material when it was released, its a covers album. And I think for what it is, its a good one. I love some of the unique takes on the different tunes from that record. Obviously if I had a choice of shows to attend the Emotive performances would probably be the third on my list, but still… I would love to hear some of those songs in a live setting. Man, I’m so stoked to come home to this news but at… Read more »
Gotta love the GF having a Citi-card.
But, those tickets are probably gonna end up being around $60 or so a piece when TM adds on their service and “convenience” charges. Fucking douchers.
All I can say is FUCK. Its cool and all I guess, but FUCK. The last minitour didnt come close to me and now this shit. All to the west pretty much. I would much rather the effort from Maynard go to TOOL. And I agree with the Tool Army thing, this should have been on there today. FUCK. Like I said, its cool and all, but surely this will have an effect on the time frame of a new TOOL album. FUCK.
Oh shit, I didn’t see the bottom of the Rolling Stone article. Says there will be more dates announced next week. Fucking hell, come back to Minnesota please.

Sorry to anyone who disagrees, but I can’t stand to listen to more than 1 or 2 tracks on that album, and even then I don’t rate those ones as highly as anything off the first two albums. And since when does one need to create an amazing album in order to be critical of someone elses? The ability to critique… Read more »

$47 expensive? You Americans are spoilt for concert prices in my opinion. Try going to gigs overseas some time…
Not sure where he found AIC tickets for $20.
