Maynard and Billy appeared on the KISW radio station this morning, mainly to plug the upcoming A Perfect Circle gigs. Not a bad interview, but not especially revealing either.

Yeah it was a pretty flat interview…what was it with those DJs laughing at everything Maynard said? Made it all a bit awkward (even more than usual lol). Still good to hear about what is going on with the APCÂ shows and new material.

Yes.
If I may say so may self, I do like the Emotive album, they do bring a different sound to the usuaul ’80’s beat. People are People by Depeche Mode (original artist) sounds a shit load different from People are People from APC. The whole point of the sound track IS to sound different but to convey they same message. The message that those songs had back in the ’70’s are what we are being reminded about right now, basically they are still relevant, or, nothing has changed. Interesting listen. Yeah, the cough thing at the mention of Tool was on purpose for sure. Which kind of aggrevates me, but oh well. That dude doing the interview is a dipshit though.
he was doing an interwiew about APC not TOOL, so why even try asking him about TOOL, but if i was doing the interview i don’t think i could resist bringing up TOOL either. 😉

okay, so maynard pseudo-chokes on his saliva at the only mention of Tool, which was only really a side reference in terms of album/video artwork, (as ooposed to a direct so-when-ya-gonna-do-what-the-fans-really-want-and-record-and-release-a-killer-tool-album?) then offers up his pseudo-deep thoughts on a pseudo-human-utopia that he obviously is A-ok with endorsing for other people, but not himself, (with this little APC cash grab/shake the dust off/get my wine harvest in and paid for) how neat. well that was a fun listen. not. and we got a whole 3 mumbles and ummms from billy., mostly in regards to the smoking crack portion of the “interview”. yay. makes we… Read more »
I felt kind of bad for the DJ. He’s interviewed Maynard before and probably knew what he was getting into, but I think its just a classic clash of personalities. Maybe he was just trying a little too hard.
The phlegmy cough at ’’Tool’’ was hilarious though.
