jsmodena emailed me a link to a new interview with Maynard on Spin. It’s pretty brief, but touches on upcoming recording/writing plans for both Tool and Puscifer:
New music from Tool is also in the works. "They are getting together and writing," he says of bandmates drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, and bassist Justin Chancellor. "I’ll be popping back into L.A. soon to check in."
Sounds good to me. Hopefully it will be early next year and a big fat tour to go along with it!!!!

Not really much of an update, but I am glad that Maynard will return soon to work with TOOL again.
im soooooo excited for the new album. cant come soon enough.
Let’s hope “check in” means “record vocals”. He seems to have so many irons in the fire right now though. I don’t see how it will all work.
