Ganjalf pointed me towards a couple of cool Youtube videos by DunlopTV showing of Adam’s and Justin’s rigs. Great stuff and mandatory viewing for any guitar geek!
Here’s Adam’s:
And Justin’s:
To me these videos are far more exciting than APC dates…
awesome!
thanks ganjalf, nice find
Yeah, I have to agree with you hellboy, much more exciting than the APC tour info. FUCK.

Awesome. Great find.
That was re-goddamn-awesome-dicu-cockulous! I never thought there would be videos like these. Pure coolness. Thanks to THE JALF!!
Spec-fuckin-tacular! So very cool.

I guess we now know where Maynard’s ‘Schleyer’ lyric substitutions came from. Justin’s bass techs last name!

Watch you Schleyer it all away….

Very cool videos!
Just watched Adam’s rig vid… had to pull myself away from Oceansize… Holy fuck, that was excellent. That was before my SF show, too. Did you guys catch Stimpy on the back of one of those Silverburst LPs? And Towelie on his amp along with the Zep icons. Very damn cool. Damn, Justin’s rig sounds so beefy, and it’s really versatile. I have never been able to find any bass effects that I can live with. The closest I’ve gotten is using analog pedals like these guys have focused on, but even then, I find them too overpowering. Invariably, they… Read more »
Nothing says cool like cartoon characters on your instruments
Justin has two Red Witch pedals too. They’re a small boutique hand made pedals made just outside of Wellington.

I was at that gig having come all the way from Sydney so that was cool to watch! Thanks for posting – it brings back many great memories, namely opening with Third Eye. Fuck that rocked…
It was great to see all that goes into making such wonderful sounds. Unfortunately, most of the talk was greek to me, but I did appreciate Adam’s shout out to Stimpy and Towelie.

Couldn’t agree more. Try as I have (bought the first two records), I’m just not an APC fan.
these vids absolutely rock, and i LOVE that they were shot @ the bill graham in SF! looking out from the stage reminds me of just how close me and my brothers were that epic july evening! (****CHILLS!!!****)
That was cool, but what, no love for the drum tech?
I love that Diezel especially, . I reckon Adam has the best guitar sound I’ve heard for arenas. It was cool to see the cube amp for the talkbox too. Justin’s rig is insane as well, I had wondered if he had a spare head already set in his rig “just in case”. Good to see him using a SansAmp as well, those things are sick!

Dunlop TV is a guitar show I think, so that’d be why I’d guess.
I sampled some RedWitch pedals today, the Chorus and Phaser, and loved the Chorus. It’s a bit pricey, but sounds great. I may go for it, but picked up the Aguilar compression pedal today. It is extremely useable and well made.
Great video. Loved seeing the little Roland Cube as the talkbox amp!
That was my first amp… it doesn’t get used anymore but it still hangs around, I may give it a little more love now though.
=P
Does anyone know what Marshall amp Adam is using there?
I know they said you can’t get it anymore, just curious in case one comes up on eBay one day…
Why does practically every person that has interviewed TOOL or their crew sound like an idiot?
yeah – i updated this http://fourtheye.net/wiki/index.php?title=Adam_Jones#Equipment
