Danny & Justin had another chat with Aussie radio station Triple J the other day, and had the following to say about the upcoming Tool album:
Chatting with Rosie on triple j, band mates Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor were typically cagey when it came to Tool’s first planned release in 5 years.
Even joking that the follow up album to 2006’s 10,000 days should be called “50,000 days”.
However, Carey did admit that while they hope to have the record out by the end of the year, they are still yet to decide on a name.
“That’s usually the last thing that happens and we argue about that while we’re making the final master of the record. We don’t even have names for the songs until then.”
it should be titled 401(k)
It should be titled ‘Save It All Then This Now Repeats On Saver’.
My own. Yeah but then all I did was wait for new albums.
How about “Three Pulls From Glory” for an album title.
I’ve always wanted to find a copy of “Bethlehem Abortion Clinic” in a record store… or the Christmas album.

haha I like ‘three pulls from glory’…how about “tempus fugit” due to the fact we wait so long for these albums, but it only seems like yesterday I was buying Lateralus.

All the shows since ’92 have been taped and Adam Jones hoards them all in his basement, occasionally putting short clips on youtube and snickering while rubbing his hands together like a mad scientist.

Ehh most of those clips are available to anyone through torrent sites. I’ve suspected that HuntSt could be someone close to the tool family… but it could just as well be a torrent whore who likes making videos.

I hope you’re kidding. HuntingtonSt is just a guy who has an account on Dimeadozen, ZOMB, Traders Den, Bootlegmatrix etc and being able to upload all these bootlegs on jewtube. He has nothing to do with Tool.
i been watching huntington’s page for 2 years ish,,always find great vids there…there is a jem of a ‘pushit 2001 live’ video…..its in his uploads section…scroll down and u shall find it below some puscifer vids….tribal breakdown that is wild as fuck…maynard dancing very tribal like..check it…i dont have a link 🙁

I get the feeling FourthEye has a policy against bootlegs, with people being such big supporters of the band. So maybe just don’t want to encourage it? Not sure. I do appreciate HuntingtonSt’s posts though 🙂

I have no problems with bootlegs, just so long as they are free, and are discussed in the appropriate forum.

Since the last newsletter there’s been Xmas and the Tool tour, so I’d guess there isn’t really much to talk about, certainly no new news on recording and such, which is I’m sure what most people want from a newsletter…

He has posted info about the recording sessions before. Not so long about he talked about sitting in on a jam session for the new album and has mentioned that Danny Carey’s studio is now a flurry of activity.
Maybe he’s not allowed to give away more than that?
