Just read a tweet with a link to the trailer for the upcoming movie Queens of Country from the guys who produced Blood Into Wine. Rather than a musical documentary, it seems to be a comedy movie with a country music theme to it. As you should all know by now Maynard has a role in it:

Looks like Maynard has a reasonably prominent role! According to the website, the trailer has been out for 6 months, but this is the first I’ve seen or heard of it. Let us know what you think!
I will be quite fascinated to watch this movie. To see him not delivering his own lines (I’m assuming) and acting a part instead of a persona will be good to see.

I’ve been looking forward to this movie and have been in email contact with someone associated with the film for quite some time now. This film was finished, produced and slated for release in March 2011. The editing wrapped up in January 2011 and before it was distributed to theaters the cast was shown an advance copy. According to IMDB Maynard has another film in post production too, ‘Vile’. Not much else about it though, seems to be everyone involveds first movie.

Disagree, if they kept releasing an album every 2 – 3 years after aenima, yes they would still be around and we’d still care about them, it’s all conjecture.
