More dates announced for the 2012 Tool Tour

  • Tool, Tour

A few more dates have trickled out for the Tool 2012 Winter Tour and for many happy fans they appear to be largely on the Northern and Eastern sections of your mighty continent.  Date “confirmed” so far (with the new ones in bold):

  • 14th Jan, Reno Events Center, Reno, NV
  • 15th Jan, Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, NV
  • 17th Jan, Tuscon Arena, Tuscon AZ
  • 18th Jan, Tingley Coliseum, Albuquerque NM
  • 20th Jan, Verizon Arena, Dallas, TX
  • 24th Jan, Huntington Center, Toledo, OH
  • 25th Jan, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Ontario
  • 26th Jan, John Labatt Centre, London, Ontario
  • 28th Jan, TD Garden, Boston, MA
  • 29th Jan, Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, NJ
  • 31st Jan, Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT
  • 8th Feb, Gwinnet Arena, Duluth, GA

Presumably there’s a bunch of other dates still to be announced, presumably down south, as well as possibly one or two more in the middle of the US.  I’d still expect a California date to be announced sometime at the beginning or end of the tour.  For more details head over to our Tour page.

Update: There’s also a Vegas date I forgot to mention!

Really hoping for a New Orleans date in between Dallas and Ohio. That’s a big enough gap for a few shows. And the gap between the last listed date and Atlanta’s supposed date is odd.

oddly enough, we were discussing taking a trip to the states in January and then the impending winter at the current cost lost out to summer and flying said distance with a 4 month old… otherwise, I’d be at two or three of those east coasters for sure.

For those who didn’t read the last thread, it includes the known stops as well as the unaccounted for days between.  Small backtrack from NJ to CT, noted with the additional black arrow.

After the Atlanta show, maybe they will do a show in New Orleans, another show in Tx (Houston or San Antonio) and then a few shows in Cali

Mohegan sun arena only has one upper level..ive seen WWE and NIN there, plus I frequent Mohegan Sun Casino quite often with my girlfriend. I’m pumped! There is not a single bad seat in that arena. It is VERY small, and has great acoustics. Im just hoping I can grab 2 or 3 tickets! Also, Mohegan Sun Casino is beautiful. They have a ton of resturants and tons of gambling. Since I visit so often I have great comps, and will definatley be getting dinner on the house. I usually get anywhere from $50-$250 dollars in Free Slot Play per… Read more »

anyone here ever been to the Susquehanna Bank Center in the winter when the lawns are closed and the building is converted to a climate controlled theater? Only holds up to 7,000 people so i’m assuming no really bad seats in the house.

grr915 THERE are NO bad seats at that venue. You will really enjoy yourself if you can grab some tickets! There is no upper level what so over!

Mohegan Sun is definitely a nice venue. I saw Jeff Beck there a few years ago. Phenomenal acoustics even up top. And clean from what I remember. As for the Sony-Blockbuster-E-Tweeter-Susquehanna Bank Center (that’s all the names I can remember it as since I’ve gone to shows there)…the acoustics are much better when the back walls are up, as opposed to in the summer when the wind from the river blows the sound all over the lawn; but it can be echo-y in there. Not really a bad seat per se, but if I could’ve picked a ‘Philly’ venue, definitely… Read more »

Holy Shit. I freaked out when I saw the Mohegan CT date, which is three days after my birthday. I really freaked out an hour later when a Boston date came out. THE NIGHT OF MY 21ST BIRTHDAY. MY FAVORITE BAND HAAPPPPENSS TO BE IN TOWN. I am over the moon. Someone out there loves me and wants me to be happy. If they play third eye I might just cry…

I feel the same way, but honestly…

Does Tool ever not sellout, regardless? Kinda of a huge dick move, but what does it matter to them since the venues will be filled anyway.

Maybe no official announcement will work to fourtheye readers advantage! Maybe when tix go on sale only us select few will actually be in the know about this so we will get prime seating!!! hahah one can dream right! If i was a casual fan and didnt listen to the radio (we dont even have a modern rock station here in ny/ct) or come to fourtheye then I would have never known of a Tool tour.
and i found this for those of you who want to get tickets early

Would you guys suggest floor or seats for Tool? I don’t really want to mosh or anything, just enjoy the show with the best sound I can. Actually being able to see the band would be pretty rad though…

if you’re going to the dallas show, go for seats in the section immediately behind the pit.  you’ll be reaaallllly close and won’t have to deal with all the idiots.  that’s what i’ll be shooting for.

Has anyone ever got tickets at the verizon theatre in dallas because the way it is set up is before the tickets go on sale, you are put in a virtual waiting room and then customers are selected to get tickets. I have never done it this way before. it sounds like a stupid idea to me.

Time to drive to Reno. Last time I saw Tool there some moron threw something at Maynard during the finale to 10,000 Days, and he walked off stage for the rest of the song.

Thanks, buddy.

I heard about that. Other than that, how is that venue? Good sound?

Also, before anyone takes me seriously, the secret source for that setlist was my brain. A boy can dream though.
