Tickets for a bunch of Tool (and Puscifer) dates have gone on sale today, and according to your comments there have been a range of response from good to bad, with some people scoring good tickets, and other not getting much at all. Word is the ticketing system for the Dallas show was a mess (which wasn’t really unexpected) and that the Camden show seemed to sell out very fast. For those of you still in the hunt, I wish you all good luck!
In other news, Toolband has finally confirmed the tour, and added a few extra dates:
- 21st Jan, TBA
- 3rd Feb, TBA
- 4th Feb, Bojangles Coliseum, Charlotte, NC
- 6th Feb, Bank Atlantic Center, Ft Lauderdale, FL
- 7th Feb, UCF Arena, Orlando, FL
No word on on sale dates for these shows yet.
My guess is the 21st of January gig is likely to be Kansas and the 3rd of February could be NYC, Washington, or anything between New Jersey & Charlotte. No word on any California dates, and I expect at this stage it’s looking less and less likely to happen.

Hopefully some CA dates are announced. It seems stupid Tool would skip it this tour when they’ve played at least on California date each tour, even the mini Summer 2009 and 2010 runs.
I’m selfishly praying for New Orleans Jan 21. There’s nothing going on at UNO where they played last year.
Also I highly doubt NYC is Feb 3 considering Feb. 1 is basically a NYC date (it’s literally right outside the city proper. Meadowlands is where the New York Giants play, and other New York teams).

I love their live shows, but small changes in the visuals aren’t enough to get me excited about seeing them again anymore. While the whole virtual waiting room for Grand Prairie tickets was something new to me I found it to be an ok system for doling out tickets. Verizon Center in Washington D.C. is available on Feb 3rd. Hopefully they will be there or somewhere else in my area as I totally missed the tour announcement and ticket sale for the Camden show which is the next closest for me.
First Mariner Arena in Baltimore is out as they have professional bull riding on the schedule that day.
George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA is also available on Feb 3rd & they have played their before.
Just got floors for the show in London ( Ontario ) !! 😀 Good thing I kept searching repeatedly a bunch of times ( even let go of very good lower bowl section tickets ) in the hope of landing floor ones and voila ! Unfortunately, same strategy didn’t work out that well on Ticketmaster for the Toronto gig. I kept getting shitty upper section tickets and only got offered lower section tickets twice ( which were crappy seats still imo ) so kept searching on and on. But in the rare event that something occurs, they give you a number to call and a “fan protect guarantee” which will either give you similar seats or your money back. Anyone who thinks mjk can’t scream anymore, obviously hasn’t the undertaker live, or stinkfist in recent years. Especially stinkfist…that huge long scream he throws in occasionally now, almost like he’s trying to prove something to the haters, it just gets bigger and louder as it goes on! Holy god, what a voice! The thing he does have problems with nowadays I think is the higher register, which is why he hates singing songs like sleeping beauty and parabola now.
