I don’t normally post stuff from Ebay on here, but every now and then an item comes up that is either very special, or very expensive! Here’s one of the latter: a 1994 Tool setlist:
Anyone have a spare $10,000 handy? Thanks to Jeff for the find!

Shipping is only $15. What a deal!
$10,000? Hell, I’ll sell you one of Danny’s sticks and a water bottle from Maynard, that I have for 9,950. Its a crazy sale, EVERYTHING MUST GO!
You’d think that for $10k it would at least be signed.
EDIT: Derp.. apparently it is.
10,000 dollars on ebay, you’re going unsoooooooooooooold
whats he smokin to ask that price? i want sum!
Don’t we already have a TooL stuff on ebay thread? Is this the same one that has been on ebay in the past?
has it been up on ebay before??
I think I have seen it before, but not for this outlandish price. And besides this is a blog post rather than a new forum thread…
10K…HOLY SHIT!! I have a setlist from the Atlanta show in ’07,Justin give it to me. I’ll let it go for 5K and give you free shipping! What a deal rite? lol 🙂
In all fairness I wonder what a setlist from the 70’s goes for pink floyd or led zepplin
I know. I’m sorry, I guess my sarcasm font did not filter through.
I’d like to see that, as well. I know I’d give either testicle for either band. Even if I was offered a setlist from both bands, I would still sacrifice both testicles.
Who cares about a freakin setlist? The very fact that someone probably has the money to waste on such a frivolous purchase is a prime example of what is wrong with the world.
Jesus christ… 10 Grand…
Who ever buys that thing is either a much bigger Tool fan than myself, or at the least, a much bigger retard.
Aside from the price of the item, check out the price of a Tool ticket from back then.. God damn.. If only it was still like that.
This would fit nicely in my museum between my bottle of Barry Manilow’s hairspray and Genghis Khan’s friendship bracelet
I laughed at the price of that ticket. If only, right?
No one will buy it at $10K.. that’s just insane. But yet again, it’s insane to even sell that if you have it in your collection.
i could be wrong but, i thought this was proven to be a fake in the past?
I have an original (not signed) setlist from London Astoria II, on 3 March 1994 which I won’t sell, it’s my souvenir of a show I experienced… but I’ll try to upload a photo of it if you’re arsed (note for US readers, “arsed” = “bothered”). Peace to one & all…
I think I recall seeing it on there before for roughly the same price.
I have Justin’s from the Second Night at Red Rocks. It’s not signed but it’s torn from when he ripped it off the ground. I’ll sign it myself and personally deliver it for free. Only asking $4,999.99.
^hell yeah! I hear ya!! lol
That thing has been on eBay for awhile…I remember hearing that there was something fishy about it…other than the price! Whoever is selling this/attempting to must of have a sticky 0 button on thier computer!
the only way this would be worth it, is if the band then came to your house and played this setlist
PR_X – I can’t think of what song that might be. just a mid set jam perhaps?

Seriously? Its Obviously Prison Sex.
that was the year of my first Tool show.
11/11/94
With bagpipes.
Hahahaha, extended version of Flood would be my request. I can just picture Maynard’s bald head getting redder and redder.

(disclaimer: I agree that the $10K price is absurd and ridiculous, and that no one will, nor should, pay $10K for this.)

^^ ugh retire that argument already
I have manny signed and unsigned setlists of quite a few bands that I would never pay more than $100 for!
I mean this could be fake pretty easily. not saying that it is but i mean…. at 10k thats a pretty big gamble to take on something I myself could probably make counterfeit.
Uh, I’m just gonna go find a cash machine.

Maybe I’m weird, but these kind of things don’t do jack shit for me unless I was actually there.
^agreed. I score the odd pick from a show and feel pretty good about myself with the score, I get home and my flat mate will look at me and my cheesy smile and my guitar pick and say…I don’t give a fuck, lets get high.
Aenima
Stinkfist
46&2
Hooker
Jimmy
Eulogy
H.
Third Eye
This is Tool’s setlist from 1996 that you have no idea if it was written by Justin backstage or by me on my kitchen counter. $20,000. Let the bidding begin!
That has been on eBay for months and months..I actually think they made a comment about it on the toolband/toolarmy news page a while back, when they were listing some collectibles in the store that they found lying around…they took a stab at the ridiculous price talking about the “holy grail” of tool collectibles being a cassette with unreleased tracks that “most people who have it don’t even realize they do” rather than a set list “supposedly signed by Maynard”

Aaaah, sweet! I would totally buy that, does it come with a free scuba diving lesson from maynard?
10000 dollars, i thought it was 10000 days, rosetta was definately stoned
Hahahaha….+1…good first post. Welcome to fourtheye!
That setlist is horseshit, no relaible COA…and its a “setlist”…and def no holy grail!

I have no problems with it’s authenticity tbh. Those certificates are worth they paper they’re printed on.
My only problem is that I don’t think the list is worth $1000, let alone $10,000. To be honest I’d expect most Tool fans would rather a signed Lateralus vinyl, or perhaps a rare Aenima vinyl in their collection over this setlist.
Clearly Tool are not charging nearly enough for their actual concert tickets.
man, that set list…i don’t know….
I’m beginning to think MY holy TOOL grail is the Kerrang! tape…damn, that thing is hard to find! I’ve seen 2 Eulogy promo’s, a dozen of Aenima promo vinyls and a lot more rare items over the years on Ebay now, but NEVER EVER saw this tape there! If anyone has this one and wants to trade it for a Sober Picture Disc, pm me please…
And the Australian Prison Sex cardsleeve single, also rare…
