The first of several updates is now complete, and aside from a few style issues (mainly in the footer and my wardrobe) all is good. I welcome feedback, good or bad!
Note on the left hand side, I’ve added a new Support Fourtheye section. Starting now, I’m offering a subscription service for those wanting to support the site. Don’t fret though, none of the content on the site will removed for non-subscribers. Supporting the site is more of a token of gratitude, rather than a Toolarmy type secret site (though there will be a members only section of the forum). You can read more about membership here.
This update is the first of several. Over the coming weeks you can expect the following:
- Some further tweaks to the blog, including a more robust tag system and some social media buttons.
- A conversion of the Forum from the old bbPress version 1 to version 2.
- Maybe some other cool stuff.
Thanks to all of you who continue to support the site, and a special welcome to the many new readers that have joined so far in 2012. I’m promised some exciting things will happen for Tool fans this year!
Question: I have 2 unread mesasages that only have the envelope with the green circle in it, and no title to the messages. I can’t open these, but can open the ones that have a title… How do I open the just envelope ones?!

Hi Kelly. You can’t. Ask the sender to resend the message and add a title. There was a similar anomaly on TA posts with no title, but there was a workaround. There isn’t any way to do this for BBPress as far as I can tell.

Couple of things…
The title FOURTHEYE at the top is centered but the catagories underneath are Left side aligned. To me it looks off by not having those centered as well.
Membership fees…
Can I barter for membership? Like how about a poster from this tour?
Can membership be bought for a friend?
I liked the 4theye eye graphic… why was that removed from the home page?
I asked that earlier and didn’t get a reply… I guess HB is thinking hard about that one!
One more suggestion….
When I click on a member’s profile, there is no link where I can PM them from that page. I only find the PM link while in the forum threads.

is there a way to default the subject of PMs to avoid the un-openable messages?

A good logo is not always an easy thing to produce. Why don’t some of the creative types around here submit some to Hellboy for his consideration?

Thanks for the feedback guys, your support means a lot  to me.  To comment on a few things: I removed the logo because it just didn’t fit with the current style.  I like the logo.  More than happy to entertain new submissions for an updated logo. Edit functiuon hasn’t deliberately been removed, and I see it on my screen (top right of the post). Â Can anyone else confirm that it’s there/missing? Â It can be a little hard for me to tell at times, as I see things from an Admin perspective.
I just checked my last post and my edit button is there. I don’t see anything unusual

Tyson is showing the forum edit button, which should be unchanged. Â We’re talking about the blog though.Â
For some reason it’s not remembering me when I come back to the forum, even though I click “Remember Me” each time I log in.
Where is the blog? Never seen that page.
What’s the purpose of that compared to the forums? Is it a condensed version of the forums with all the BS taken out?

The Blog is pretty much news only, and these same new posts also appear in the forum. Â Users and comments are shared between the two. Â This will change somewhat when the new forums arrive, as the blog posts will no longer appear in the forum.Â
I’m also having the problem of not remembering my username and password. Also, is there any way you can bring back the Preview feature when replying?
It’s doing the same for me, I’ll see if I can take a look tonight. I imagine it’s some kind of cookie related issue.
Sure, I’ll have a look at it. The comment preview was removed a while ago due to compatibility issues, now is probably a good time to see if I can bring it back.

To me, the “Headers”/”Headlines” are a nice, readable size but the text is small/less-readable in comparison. Seeing too much gap mayhaps
i may be wrong, or this may be obvious, but the recent comments on the main page doesn’t seem to be correct. Â is it supposed to be random comments of the day or the actual most recent comments?

As kittaan said, the recent comments are for Blog posts only. As I implement the upgrade to the forum I’m hoping to clear up a bit of this confusion.
