I came across a new interview on Arizona Republic with Maynard today, where he talks about his experiences in Arizona and Winemaking. Nothing particularly new, but an interesting read none the less:
Touring plans will have to be scheduled around his other big commitment, though: He can’t very well tour during harvest.
“Pretty much from August to November,” Keenan says, “I’m in the winery.”
In other Maynard news, check out him here shopping for an outfit for the Puscifer Tour:
Nice watch! Anyone know what kind? Diesal lol?
Looks like he’s also giving a talk over the weekend at an Arizona festival.
Storytellers
Hardly. That’s a Bell & Ross right there. $3-4,000. Dude’s got taste.
Nice find 🙂 Damn those of you who live in AZ and will make it to that festival to hear him speak this weekend.
And he’s worried about Youtube videos LOL
^ lol indeed!
If anything those vids bring him more fans.. or fish as they are referring to us now.
The fish that paid for that $3-4K watch.
^^^ I will be attending this!
BTW: According to Puscifer’s Facebook-Page, Maynard will be Matt Pinfield’s guest on MTV2’s “120 Minutes” on Feb. 24. And Puscifer will make a live appearance on Jimmy Kimmel on Feb. 16. Maybe that’s worth some news.
Anyone in the Phoenix area going to check out Maynard tonight? He is speaking at 8pm as part of the 100 year celebration of Arizona.
will they let cameras in?
No idea. Im bringing mine, its probably going to be jam packed as it is a free event. We love us some free shit in AZ.
Not sure if this deserves its own thread, or if there already is one, but this seems like a fitting place for it. From reddit: “About 50 people were there, most of them were very vocal about seeing Maynard. He was indeed the highlight of the evening for a lot of people. MJK’s presentation was pretty intimate. He spoke of motivation, namely that of being moved and growing up as a kid in a new town. What stood out most was the fact that he spoke about a ‘3-part harmony’ of his head, his heart, and his gut feeling. His… Read more »
That is really cool.
It was VERY cool! He spoke for only about 15 minutes or so. As he was leaving, I positioned myself near the exit. A black limo was waiting there for him, not 10 feet from the exit. He got in and that limo was gone in a flash. Surreal.
You kiss him?
Strange thing was that he was visibly nervous, almost shaking and struggling for words at times. Incredible how he can perform in front of sold out arenas with seemingly no problems, and have noticable difficulties speaking in front of a small crowd. At one point he even mentioned that he was so nervous and he was “shitting his pants” up on that small stage. He told the audience that he was going to read the lyrics from the humbling river because he thought he would’nt remember them. Somebody yelled out “sing them!” He chuckled and replied “Im not Whitney Houston… Read more »

Nedak – 1 hour ago  » That is really cool. It certainly is. It’s an interesting idea, getting off the grid. I was watching ‘Collapse’ and it made me think of Maynard’s thoughts on the subject. The narrator in that documentary mentioned that the only real way to survive the collapse of civilization was to do pretty much what Maynard is preaching about, as it’s the only real way to sustain yourself in the long run. Stop relying on giant corporations for everything. Grow your own food, generate your own electricity, etc. Rely more on your immediate neighbors instead of… Read more »
He was so nervous afterwards he killed Whitney Houston.
Here is a short video of the event. Nice little beat-poetry remix of ‘The Humbling River’.
Again, thanks to cosmiclobster on reddit.
