As promised the other day, the new Melvins track “The War On Wisdom†has premiered on Pitchfork. This track is from the coming EP The Bull & The Bees.
Personally I think it’s quite excellent! Why do you guys reckon?

I can’t get into the Melvins… does that make me weird?
Not at all, though personally it took me many many years before I could get into them. Have you seen them live at all?
I only like a handful of Melvins tracks but that one is quite good! I think its the vocals that i cant quite get into on a lot of their songs but musically they are pretty cool as a band.
Hahaha, my 4 year old son just saw that picture and said “it’s a scary monster!” I said “No Gavin, that’s Buzz!”
Can’t wait til they roll through Dallas, it’ll be my first time seeing them, really looking forward to it!
I haven’t seen them live, though that would be cool. I think it’s the vocals that throw me off… I definitely dig the instrumentals.
great track lots of nice changes. i think the Melvins have now gone beyond Sabbath in their influence of bands…
For everyone that has NOT seen the Melvins live….DO IT…then come back to the forum and share your thoughts. I was on the fence until seeing the live show.
@ SHbassGTR – LOL
Yeah, dig this track a lot. Bummed they had to hit SF right when Radiohead are here.
Seems like an easy decision to me…
awesome shit, this track just made my day, hell yeah!!
Yeah I’ve never been into the Melvins but this track was pretty good.
Like this song.
Love that picture of King Buzzo! We have tickets to see them in April. Looking forward to it. You can’t go wrong with two drummers!
I would like to see tool open for the melvins on a cross country tour…tool will obviously fund this project if no stadiums agree to it.
