Just to keep you all on your toes, Blair has posted the February Tool Newsletter for 2012. It doesn’t contain anything too exciting, but it does contain an apparent answer to the 10,000 Days puzzle.

Wow, that was the first time I had read the entire newsletter top to bottom. Good stuff by Blair. I thought it was cool he addressed the fish rumors.
Actually enjoyed that newsletter. Less esoteric rambling and more to the point. Fairly obvious at this point that quite a bit of writing and arranging for the new album is going on. Good news indeed.
As for that neuroscientist *facepalm* Our best and brightest minds wasting time on non-existent Tool album puzzles.

Sorry Blair for not knowing about roadie slang. Even though none of us are roadies, I suppose we all should have known what you were writing about. Next time, though, if you think of it while being suck to your desk, if you’re going to choose such a narrow audience for your “news”letter, let us know, hmm? That way we won’t jump to any conclusions; it’s what the fanbase usually does when there’s an obvious absence of actual “news” regarding TOOL.
Even if Tool didn’t intend for any of that, it’s still a cool interpretation. Everyone knows all the chakra nonsense is just that, nonsense.
Pretty close to what I thought was the “solution” to the 10,000 days puzzle.

I’m still stunned he was even aware of Waitangi Day, let alone mention it in his post! Still does not make up for the fact they have not toured here for 10 years though! (75 min Festival set does not count)
Maybe this is a sign of things to come. After all they never came back in 2008 as they said they would.
Blair, if you read this you need to realize that you throw in so much cryptic meaning shit in your newsletters that it can be hard for fans to decipher what is, you trying to be deep and cryptic, and what is just you using common slang. “Feeding the fish” was a great example of this.
If an actual degreed neuroscientist took the time to write that out I would be surprised. It would be a -1 for science.
I am thinking its more likely Blair is using a pen name to disguise his normal crazy out there esoteric blabber that we are used to.
I’ve never really considered the Tool camp to be concerned about people’s feelings (see “Hooker With a Penis” and “Ticks and Leeches”) so yes, yes I do. They don’t exactly hide the hostility toward some fans.
Has any other tool fansite bitched about the fish posters being the fans, and it being the end of tool, ect? If not then I think they know of this site….
Well I know Blair reads some of Fourtheye, as to how much of it I’m not sure (I suspect he doesn’t get too deep into the forum).

I think its cool Blair has been obviously communicating with the bigger fans on Tool sites. Its too bad in the midst of an epic tour, and while the guys are working hard on writing, the roadies and the whole Tool camp seem to be busy, that a lot of weird negativity has been out there. Maybe people should have some respect and watch what they say? I read the “solution” of the 10k days puzzle and I have to ask why did Blair mention that the photos of the band members on the inside of the cd booklet and the poster that was sold during the 10k days tour as a clue to the solution? Since the solution is a map of the Tree of Life which is found in books, wouldn’t be better to give clues as to what books to read and not look at photos?
