I woke up this morning to find that the first track from the forthcoming Melvins album Freak Puke streaming on the Spin website. It’s called Leon vs. The Revolution and sounds pretty good to me. This album features Trevor Dunn playing upright bass on all of that tracks rather than their typical 4-piece combo.
In other Melvins & Spin news, King Buzzo got named in their top 100 guitarists list. The list also featured Skrillex and doesn’t mention Adam (or a number of other prominent guitar “dinosaurs”), so make of it what you will…
That Skrillex thing is bullshit. That whole list is bullshit. Spin is bullshit. Everything is bullshit.
Adam is criminally underrated as a guitarist.
Im so tired of clueless non musicians pretending like they know anything about what makes a good musician.
WOW that has got to be on eof the worst top 100 guitar player lists i have ever seen. Really no adam or even hendrix? But skrillex and run DMC who do not even play guitar make the list of best guitar players of all time????
The Writers of History are changing the perception of music. If you play music and understand what its really about, it can be a means to escape from many mental traps that have been laid for humanity. I won’t say making electronic music is easy, but jesus, Skrillex doesn’t belong on a guitarist list. Fuck. Rolling Stone had Adam, and also Kim Thayil from Soundgarden. This list can blow me.
Have you checked that list recently? They retroactively removed Adam from it
