I’ll be there on Saturday night but I’m not that excited. Big deal, he got a new piece of equipment. At most, there will be some experimental 7 minute segue while Adam, Maynard and Justin have a break before doing Lateralus and maybe Aenima to finish the show. Other than that, we might get a minute or two of trippy interludes between songs.

I would gladly trade it all for an extra song old or new (very little chance)…

^I’m from Sydney. Regardless, I’m definitely not taking the show for granted – I just think we get too worked up about ‘potential’ new material. It’s been 7 years since 10,000 Days came out but this will be Tool’s third visit here. Saturday will be my 10th show but I guess I’m getting tired of waiting between albums, that’s all. New albums every 4 or 5 years would be cool but 6 or 7 years? I don’t know, maybe I’m just getting old and cynical…

Part 2 is layered better. The case is cool… unsure about the Pizza Hut towel.

^Totally agree with the frustration that comes from people using their phones at gigs to post where they are. It’s okay once or twice but when you see people spending every other minute staring at a device, refreshing facebook or texting it saddens me.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the show – the opening song at a Tool show, the live versions of Stinkfist, 46 & 2 and Third Eye always blow me away. Still haven’t seen Pushit live yet… I’m sure Saturday will be well worth it.

Awesome! New synths are always good! If new material is played, then that will be epic and if not then it’s still super awesome that you get to see TOOL (especially down under) so don’t forget that.

They’ll no doubt play some stuff from Opiate and will almost certainly close with Aenima. Last show I saw they opened with Hooker With a Penis which was the first time they had played it since 99.

Awesomeness… I’m jealous.

Skinny Puppy is awesome and Cevin is most talented… I’d like to see them tour again. Still kicking myself in the ass for not going to see them in Frisco on Halloween a few years back. I just couldn’t make it though… 🙁

glad to see some Puppy fans kickin around! ya, Cevins been on my FB for a few years or more now. his thing is full but he has a like page or something, i cant remember but he has a couple pages now. Skinny Puppy is great live! the theatrics Ohgr does are great! and the thing i like live about them is the songs are a bit more accesible. their albums have grown on me but i can see how they are this big sorta underground band. when i heard them years and years ago i thought ‘wtf is… Read more »

@CalfiumJay
Throbbing Gristle is also DOPE! You know what I’ve really been looking for is “Download” one of Cevin’s other bands.
