On sale to public Fri 12 Apr, 9am (local time)Adding to the sheer power and force of a live performance that Tool ticketholders have to look forward to, those who purchase a VIP package will also receive:
– Access to sound-check with members of Tool
– Q+A session with Adam
– Exclusive merchandise pack including:
1. An exclusive Tool tour t-shirt
2. Poster
3. VIP laminate
4. Bag of goodies
(These items feature designs exclusive to the VIP package and are not available for purchase anywhere else)
– Early entry to the Floor (for GA ticket holders only)*NOTE: the VIP package does NOT include an event ticket. Please ensure you have purchased your event ticket prior to purchasing your VIP package.
Packages go on sale from 9am local time, Friday 12 April and will retail for $504 + ticketing agency transaction fees.
I don’t like to editorialise too much, but $500 is an outrageous amount for this in my opinion. Still, no doubt there will be some takers.

I can’t help but think this is their way to compensate for the loss of album sales. They are anti-piracy… You don’t have to buy a VIP ticket just like you didn’t have to buy the Opiate re-release. For the record… I’m not saying that their pricing on this VIP shit is a good pricing. Nor am I saying that the re-release of Opiate had great pricing either. I didn’t buy the re-release of Opiate because of the price and I’m certainly not buying VIP shit at their shows if this is the pricing. $600 would allow me to buy tickets anywhere from 5-8 shows this year and see way more than TOOL. For fucks sake, time and time again piracy has been shown having the opposite effect on sales than it is expected. $650($650 with the concert included) is really not that much money, but there is no way anyone could see $650 worth of value in this show/experience. The buyers of this package must be well heeled in that they’re paying $650 for something that last less than a couple of hours. I could afford to do this, and I’m many others here could afford to do this too, but there is nowhere near $650 worth of value in this.
