In news fresh from the interwebs this morning, it appears the Melvins are the first act to be announced for this years Meredith Music Festival held annually each December in rural Victoria. Ballots are open for the event (it sells out almost every year) and tickets will be $309 + booking fees. There should be a bunch of other acts announced over the coming months, and also confirmed on the lineup is Chic founder and recent Daft Punk collaborator Nile Rodgers.
No word yet on if there will be a full tour accompanying the festival. I sure hope so as there’s little change I’ll be able to make it to the festival. Stay tuned!
