Tool to release anniversary editions of Sober figures?

Adam posted a couple of hours on Instagram:

Original head that I sculpted 20yrs ago for our ‘Sober’ video. *We are talking about a possible anniversary limited run of this character..? #Tool #sober @barry_mccockener @puscifer #JustinChancellor

Could the curveball be some kind of Sober Re-issue? There’s been plenty of speculation that the curveball could be some kind of Salival type package containing HD versions of their videos. Perhaps a limited edition of this could also include a replica of the Sober character?

Why can we not be Soooooberrrrrrrr!

it would be nice if it wasnt all that limited. its going to cost too much but a figure of the sober guy would be really neat! i recall talking about this somewhere years ago and most agreed it prob wouldnt happen but thats before they started cashing out big time. i guess its finally happened. the other dudes would be cool as well! release a whole line! sell it at TRU. ha

Looks like Adam’s fingers are worn from gripping guitar strings, THAT’s all I care about from that pic. I stopped playing with toys years ago.

tool are big enough they will still sell a ton of records. i dont think them “trying to make ends meet” really applys to these guys. come on! u know that! i like the idea but years ago they would never do this. im sure they would of considered it cheapening their art or something.

Why do TOOL fans cry when the band doenst release anything for a while, then when the band does release something for thier FANS, we hear more crying???? C’mon people.

If you dont need a figure dont buy one. No member of Tool in anyway needs more money, they are just doing what they love, be appreciative you know about it.

i dont think it cheapens their art but just in the past people i talked to anyway and me thought they would never do that cause of the way they are/were. i think its awesome if i could put a little sober dude on display somewhere but i fear limited edition equals opiate rerelease prices and im not getting suckered into something like that!.

thats how it use to be! but that was a long time ago now! their older! sure a new album will come eventually but i think your going to see more of this cashing out on things from the past. i use to think once they were finished live dvds would come out and god knows what else. but maybe thats happening sooner then i thought! slowly but surely!

It looks cool. But i wont buy one. I have enough nick-knacks. I just dont see why they are doing shit like this, when they could do a handful of things they KNOW fans want?
