One of our Fourtheye (and Toolnavy) regulars Kanaduh managed to smuggle a recording device into a recent Tool sound check, and he managed to capture the band jamming something a little new, as well as a few older classics. Enjoy!

Awesome, that took me back to my soundcheck VIP experience in Auckland last year. although we were lucky enough to get maynard on the last song.
We were so pumped from the VIP that the show itself seemed like a blur. Fortunately we went the second night, which didnt disappoint and for me was up there in my top 2 all time.
That’s cool. Thanks Kanaduh. Interesting to Hear them with out Maynard. I was hoping to get something possibly in the new material realm though. But, that doesn’t seem to be happening anywhere, which is kind of bogus.
The sounds at the beginning of this clip and before Vicarious sound like new material jams to me. I like!

I’m amazed at how amazing the sound of the recording is. I expected some trashy recording that usually comes from these. Great work Kanaduh. Makes that more depressing that they aren’t over in my part of the country.
I am so jealous. The entire day of the concert I moped around like a kid not going to prom. I couldn’t go due to prior commitments with my kids (a school play performance). You HAVE to go to those… even when TOOL comes to town for one night only every 5 years.
I wonder which city this was recorded in.
