Puscifer release title track from Money Shot

You may have taken a quick listen to the 30 second Money Shot snippets on Amazon yesterday, but today it appears the second full track has been released from the album. This time around it’s a much rockier number and the smooth poppy sounds of Grand Canyon. It’s certainly not a Tool track, but will appeal more to those who prefer their music with a harder edge.

Also with the track is a new Maynard James Keenan interview on Rolling Stone by Dan Epstein. If the interview is anything to go by, it seems as though the new Puscifer album may have a more serious one than their last two:

It seems like Puscifer’s trademark sense of humor has taken something of a back seat to heavier themes on this record.
Yeah, I guess so. I can see how someone would think that, but I see the humor all the way through it, even in the heavier tracks. On our earlier stuff, we completely separated it — “Cuntry Boner” over here, and then “Indigo Children” over here. Here, they’ve been integrated more. It’s like a fine wine that’s been aging in a large cask for two years, instead of being right out of the press and into the bottle.

They do ask a quick Tool question, with a not unexpected response:

So, last question… what’s up with the new Tool record?
I write lyrics and melodies to music. If I don’t have music, I can’t.
