It’s that time of year again where many talk and post about the best albums of the year just past. 2015 seemed to be a decent year for new music, and I’d invite Fourtheye Readers to participate in our annual Best Albums readers poll.
Entering is easy, just use the Google form below and vote for your top 10 albums. I’ll collect the results over the coming weeks, and then post the final list (as well as my top 10) in early 2016.
For those who like to reminisce, here’s link to my top 10 from 2014, and a link to yours!
Waiting until after I’ve had a chance to check out Baroness’ new one.
Indeed. That first song, chlorine and wine is my pick for song of the year.
Ohhh – didn’t realize they have a new one on the way. Thanks for the heads up. Eula is one of my favorite all time songs and they killed it at Bonnaroo.
Ghost B.C.’s “Meliora” is phenomenal and extremely deserving of a vote in ANY top 10 list this year IMHO. Aeges “above & down below” is another great listen.
@ out…
Stinkfist
What another crap year for music. I can’t come up with more than 9.
Correction, I left off an obvious one… my number 1 choice actually…
I entered ‘Money $hot’ ten times.
Just being honest.
Well one of those is for me not even voting once for it so there you go.
Wow. You must either be going deaf, or be reaching 100% deaf.
Yeah to vote for that crap album 10 times you must certainly be deaf.
I disagree. I am not deaf and I thought it was a great album. Better than Sol Invictus.
Money Shot was fine. It was not my favorite and didn’t make my list, but it’s better than most of the albums that are going to get nominated, I say.
Black Pussy “Magic Mustache”
Haven’t listened to many albums released this year… So I have Polaris up there, since it is pretty fucking great.
So here’s my list.
1. New Bermuda – Deafheaven
2. Abyss – Chelsea Wolfe
3. Press Enter – Romain Collin
4. To Pimp A Butterfly – Kendrick Lamar
5. Infinite Dissolution – Locrian
6. The Direction of Last Things – Intronaut
7. Bottom of the Morning – Pinkish Black
8. Purple – Baroness
9. Creeps – Indian Handcrafts
10. The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim – Gary Clark Jr.
Abyss – Chelsea Wolfe is a great album.
I thought dodge and burn was bad ass
Boysetsfire – self titled album – always thought they would be the perfect opener for Tool.
I like the new Failure album. Saw them at Aftershock and they played a few of the new ones live… pretty awesome.
