I must be living under a rock because it was just brought to my attention that DANNY will be the guest drummer on the LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS SHOW starting on the WEEK of Monday, SEPTEMBER 26. Now that I mention it, does anyone have a house truck for sale?
Hopefully someone will record it so we can all enjoy it later on!

It’s really funny because today I hopped on Facebook and everybody has a fucking story about how they know a guy that’s a reliable source that says TOOL is in the mastering phase of the double album that’s being released “soon” and it will be their last album, their doing a farewell tour and yatta yatta yatta…. All this week drummer Danny Carey is sitting in on the show, and during his debut performance last night, when he was being introduced by Seth Meyers, Meyers mentioned a new album from the band would be out sometime very soon. That could mean anything! All kidding aside, maybe we’ll get the album by next year?
I think we can all agree that “soon” is such a broad term it really has no meaning. I expect Danny mentioned to Seth they are working on the album, and Seth just extrapolated this to being soon.
How soon is “soon”? If it’s not until 2017, then that shouldn’t really surprise anyone. If it’s this year, as some are trying to assert on Reddit (that it’s in mastering, and that’s the reason Danny is in NYC despite Maine being 7 hours away).
Yeah. I can’t believe this is being reported as news. I guess websites want the clicks.

Except a reminder of how goofy and awesome Danny Carey is. His reaction on the show made me smile.
