Pre-sales seemed to go pretty well for most Fourtheye readers I’ve been in touch with, and some added good news for Sydney fans is the extra Tool show announced for the 18th of February. There’s no pre-sale for that show – all tickets go on sale tomorrow with the public sale.
Speaking of which, the public sale of the remaining tickets for all shows kicks off once more at 2pm local time. As noted earlier, pre-sales were only a selection of all the tickets, so expect good seats and more GA tickets to be available tomorrow. Those of you interested in an upgrade should probably try your luck.
As for me, I was lucky enough to grab 4 GA tickets for Melbourne. I didn’t do anything special, just waited patiently in the queue and about 3-4 minutes after onsale time, I was able to purchase. It was a pretty stress free experience, though I imagine I got lucky more than anything else – there were plenty who were lucky just to get seats. I’ve heard some say they had more success using the Ticketek app, but I’m not so sure there’s a solid technical reason behind this – I suspect more confirmation bias, but worth a try for those with an appropriate phone.
For those still in the dark, Frontier has all the ticketing information available here: https://www.frontiertouring.com/tool
Pretty keen for a Fourtheye meetup or two in February. I’ll be attending the Brisbane show and the first Melbourne show (maybe the second too if budget/time allows). My time in Brisbane will be limited, so might be a meetup at/near the venue, but Melbourne we might look at having a BBQ in the park, like we did way back in 2011. Thoughts and suggestions welcome!
