New music from Maynard this morning, with Puscifer dropping the first track off their coming album. The track Apocalyptical is available for streaming on the usual streaming platforms.
Update: There’s now a video which you can find at the end of this post. Also noted in the video is:

NEW ALBUM FALL 2020
WORLD TOUR 2021
Interested to hear your thoughts in the comments! Personally after a quick listen it doesn’t sound like it’s pushing any new ground, but nor do I dislike it.
Any other way you could post a stream? Spotify isn’t offering it yet in the US.
You might just have to be patient or use Google
I feel the same way. Nothing groundbreaking, but I don’t mind it. Aside from hard/heavy music, I enjoy “alternative” type stuff as well and this fits right into that. Anything new from one of my favorite artists is welcomed – especially these days.
Don’t get me wrong, I like puscifer as much as the next guy, but I am not feeling this track at all. Can’t put my finger on it, but yuck!

I’m hopeful that there will be at least a little bit more to be wrung out of the album that sounds like it had a longer time to cook and came more off the heels of Tool finally releasing an album rather than a growing pandemic.

Personally, the quirky/silly early start to the project didn’t have much lasting appeal but I appreciated that he wanted to go a complete 180 and treat it more loosely. I managed to find appealing tracks here and there through ‘C is for’ and Conditions which kept me paying attention. My wife loves some of the… Read more ยป
Not sure I’ve heard people suggesting you have to see multiple shows before, but Puscifer are excellent live in my opinion, and there have been numerous times where a live performance of a band has changed my mind on them.
Still some bands aren’t for everyone, and I typically see little point in having force some kind of enjoyment out for bands.
