Their contempt for the average Tool fan is astounding. If you TRULY want to help fund this cause then why not offer up something that will generate a huge amount of interest and bids?
If I was coordinating this auction I would tell Maynard to shove his fucking sink up his ass.
This has been plastered all over the music media, so it’s hard to argue it hasn’t generated a huge amount of interest. It’s current bid also surpasses the expected amount. Not sure what more you could expect – Adam to give away his first born?
For what it’s worth, I don’t think this was done specifically for this auction. I seem to recall this was signed quite some time ago for a radio station contest, or similar. I’m not 100% sure about that, so I’m not offering this as any kind of end-all-be-all info, but I don’t think it’s anything to get upset about. I remember seeing it at one of the shows, I just don’t remember what year.
There might have even been multiple sinks.
So my point, if there is one, is that this sink likely came from someone’s private collection and wasn’t created as some kind of “F U” to fans or the cause.
I don’t see MJK’s signature but there seems to be two from Danny.

Did Tool sign the sink like that to make a statement? Right In Two … symbolizing the current political division? Whomever purchases this would be tempted to cut the sink in half but by doing so would no longer have all 4 signatures if one side was sold. I actually find it quite humorous and genius.
