Blair suggests today that some exciting Tool news will be surfacing soon. I can’t imagine a tour is on the cards anytime in 2021, so either it’s tour news that some time off, or something else? New record, live streams, vinyl, blankets – the points of speculation are endless.
Those of us who work for the band wish we could share more news updates that fans would find truly exciting… because we are privy to such things, though are not at liberty to reveal them (Oh, how our fingers tremble above the keys). Not yet, anyway, but the time is coming… and it’s coming sooner than later… that much we can tell you. Until normality returns, and touring is permitted, these things (yes, plural) we hint of are sure to excite the Tool faithful… yes, very much so, we would think… so stay tuned, and we’ll let you know when we are able. We only hope that we haven’t already divulged too much.

This one sounds significant, no tour crap mixed in, just a straight-up nod to recorded tunes headed our way. Live/Studio/Pip fartin’ on a snare drum, who cares? We can do it!
Sooner than later? Maybe no touring has given them time needed to knock tunes together. However, I cant see it being released until they have toured last album around the world. And the way things are going that could be never. Or a very long time….
Priority one is always new music. What I’d like to see is the rumored Live Video and Live concert Album. Just so half of us Tool enthusiasts can shut up. ha ha!

their website now lists a category called “livestream promotions”. so yes, i guess some kind of stream is in the works.

Further more, as i am reading, something wicked this way comes is the title of the novel by ray bradbury which pulls directly from the shakespeare play Macbeth.
