Justin Chancellor update: Pedal + Dunable + EXU

Not one to rest on his laurels, Tool bass player Justin Chancellor has been busy the last few months with a few cool new things coming to light in the last few weeks.

First up: Justin was been working with the team at Dunlop to create a custom wah pedal – the JCT95 Justin Chancellor Cry Baby. It’s got some cool features and it includes some fuzz and filter features on top of the usual wah. The pedal will set you back a sweet US$299, which is pretty pricey! But it seems like you get a lot for your money. You can get some more info on the Jim Dunlop site.

Here’s a nice Youtube walkthrough:

Also featuring Justin is a recent promo video from the Dunable guitar company:

Unsure if this video collaboration is a sign of further work with Dunable, but they make great guitars. Sacha Dunable and Justin have collaborated in the past on the track Valley of Smoke by Intronaut

Finally, Justin has been recording with artist Aric Improta, who is best known as the drummer for Fever 333. It’s a great track, an instrumental featuring some great drumming and bass playing. Well worth the listen, so check it out!
