The next release from Adam Jones‘ collaboration with Gibson is a set of Epiphone Silverbursts, each adorned with an art piece selected by the Tool guitar player. The first release features Mark Ryden’s “The Veil of Bees.†and is now available to order. There will be 800 of each edition, and the US sale price is $1,299.
“When I think of art, I see both the visual and the aural as equally important, with one bolstering the other,†says Adam Jones, who selected the seven striking artworks beautifully reproduced on the backs of these guitars. The Epiphone Les Paul Customs are finished in Antique Silverburst, as an homage to Adam’s original 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom.
For this unprecedented collection, Adam curated works by artists Mark Ryden, Frank Frazetta, Julie Heffernan, Korin Faught, and Ernst Fuchs. Epiphone will make only 800 of each model for this extremely limited-edition run.

I haven’t noticed any Australian retailers stocking this yet, but it may happen over the coming days. I’d expect the local price to be $2000+
