It’s been a while between Fourtheye posts, but we’re not dead (yet!)
I’ve had an article sent my way from La Latercera, a Chilean publication which – based on a dodgy Google Translation – suggests that talks are underway to bring Tool down to Santiago in 2025. There’s also some suggestion that there could be other dates, I assume in these would also be in the region of South America.
There’s a tonne of Tool fans in South America, so it would be amazing to see them playing shows, and getting somewhere different than the usual US and EU jaunts. Tool seem to tour most years, and while it appears for now their focus (at least when Danny is done with Beat) will be on songwriting, it shouldn’t surprise many to see Tool do a few dates at least in 2025. Who knows, maybe even some of the Sphere rumours could come to fruition as well?

Tool has (almost) never disappointed me, but if they play the Sphere I will hold it against them. That place is a plastic gimmick and not worthy of them. I do hope they will play in South America, because it must suck to live someplace that they never tour.
