You have heard in the last few days that Tim “Herb” Alexander has opted to leave Primus. It seems like Primus will find a replacement for the Sessanta 2.0 shows, but at the dates with Tool in the Dominican Republic Danny Carey will be sitting in the chair once more.
This has happened a few times over the years, with Danny filling in for a tour back in 2014, as well as a few crossover events since then. Tool & Primus seem to enjoy a great relationship! There’s always some chance Danny may fill in for a little longer, but I suspect as Primus will want to move on with a regular drummer we’ll likely see that person in the band soon enough.
