Black Sabbath are playing one final show (with Ozzy at least) in Birmingham this July, and the already stellar lineup has been padded out with an appearance from Tool. Given that the rest of the lineup features pretty much the who’s who or hard rock and heavy metal, I wouldn’t be expecting anything more than a 15 minute set from the guys – maybe two to three songs. Would be interesting to see if they, and other bands do Black Sabbath covers, or if it will be just them performing a couple of hits.
Also reportedly on the bill is a performance featuring Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and Danny Carey (Tool). Not sure what will come of this, but it’s an interesting mix of artists.
