XtotheY of Toolnavy posted last night that Tool are featured in the latest edition of the German magazine Visions. No transcript of the interview was made available, but it was a pretty stock standard interview except for the following points:
- The Vicarious video will be entirely computer generated, which is why there have been delays.
- Adam is yet to see the video for himself
- Maynard justified the current Tool ticket prices by saying they offer much more value than Korn.
Personally, I don’t think ticket prices are that outrageous.

The fact is Jones is probably only behind artwork and concept – the animation and effects are no doubt being done by a studio. Hence it’s no issue whatsoever that he hasn’t seen it.

Considering the video won’t be used for promoting the single in anyway, is it a big deal that it’s taking a while.
Also, you can’t expect Adam to overview every single aspect of their videos. Unless he’s an expert in CGI, then there’s no point him being involved past the design stage anyway. If the programmers/artists do their job properly, then there’s no need for Adam to supervise every step.
I agree. He’s laid out the essential parts but you can’t expect him to undertake things he doesn’t understand. The man’s got a life too, he can’t spend that much time supervising every step of the CGI. It’s like an architect. Lays out gorgeous plans, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he knows how to put it all together himself. He just knows how it’s supposed to look, more or less. Get my point? (kind of tired)
